Due to their chosen mode of transport, unfortunately bikers tend to be more likely to suffer or aggravate injuries, plus placing the body in uncomfortable positions for hours at a time can also lead to various physical stresses and strains. And bikers are no less likely to suffer from emotional or mental problems and difficulties than anyone else. Bikers have a reputation for a ‘partying’ lifestyle but homeopathy isn’t just for the so-called ‘clean living’, you don’t need to be a saint to be treated by homeopathy, homeopathy works for everybody. It is true a weekend’s hard partying can make it harder work for remedies to act effectively, but it doesn’t make it impossible. They will tell you their hopes, fears, expectations and desires, with no false pretenses, no secret doors you need to prised open, all of which is a great help in prescribing holistic treatments such as homeopathy. I started riding as soon as I was old enough. I brought a FS1E, took my test on an A65 side car outfit and have been riding bikes ever since. One time while in Canada, I ended up buying a motorcycle, then when it became cold and snowy I rode the West Coast Highway from Canada right down into Mexico. That was an interesting trip. Following that I traveled in the Indian sub-continent, which is where I found homeopathy. Or to be more precise, homeopathy found me. I had no interest in homeopathy; I merely accompanied a friend who was seeking treatment. As we left I was handed two books, ‘You need to read these.’ I took them out of politeness, an English girl who didn’t know how to say no. When I took them back after reading them, I was told, ‘Be here tomorrow morning’ when I arrived I was told simply, ‘Sit. Watch.’ This was Dr Vankatarama’s surgery. The same the next day and the next, within months, under Dr Vankatarama’s supervision, I was treating patients at his practice. Anyone who has traveled in India will know that this is how the country works. The spirituality and openness of the culture and people mean connections are made and futures are decided in ways that seem impossible to Western understandings. So please don’t be afraid if you have a story to tell and/or you ride a bike. I ride one too.
