This afternoon we had a few things going on, starting off with Snowball Toss!

We put on Christmas classics, wore our Christmas hats and were up against the time to score as many snowball shots as we could between us. It got harder and harder as the containers got smaller and smaller. It ended with a snowball fight of course.

Next up was table tennis. Ken and Lawrence got a few games in before tea and cakes.

We had a more relaxed time in the new lounge where Phyllis made good progress on her puzzle.

Here is a roundup of our day at Tegfield House...

The lovely Lizzie came in for a chair yoga session with us. She left us feeling stretched, relaxed and smelling good with a scented hand spray.

We opened day 4 of the advent calendar and stuck the winnings up on the window.

The paper chains we have been busy making with youngsters in our community have gone up in the lounge.

And finally, Olive and her owner Crispin payed us another visit!

We have had such a crafty time here recently to kick start the run up to Christmas.

The cubs came in yesterday evening to make a variety of paper garlands with us to decorate our home. Betty told us her two boys were in cubs when they were younger and it was great to see our residents and the children chatting and working together so well.

We came out with an impressively long paper chain last night and the challenge continued this morning with our little friends at The Rotherly Day Nursery who made a 100 piece long paper chain, all beautifully decorated!

Happy 1st of December everyone!

We finally got to show off our homemade advent calendar that we have been busy creating to friends and family at our Christmas lights switch on this afternoon.

Day 1 has gifted us a brand new set of berry Christmas lights which we have put up in the lounge and a snowman dad joke.

Some real quality time spent with our favourite therapy dog, Olive the Hungarian Vizsla, today at Tegfield. It's amazing seeing our residents' faces light up when Olive comes tail wagging through the door. We heard all about everyone's much-loved pets from the past. Dogs truly are a man's (and woman's) best friend!

Girls shopping trip and coffee stop for one of our residents this afternoon in Wi******er.

We stocked up on Christmas supplies to put in our homemade advent calendar and couldn't help but mooch around a few more shops on our way up to look at the Christmas tree and cathedral. We deserved our coffee and hot chocolate by the time we got to it!
