🧘♂️ Boys that yoga 💪
I’ve just looked at numbers for the next Yoga Club block and I’m so happy - 14 children signed up so far and 6 of them are boys.
That feels important to me.
As a mum of two, I see very clearly that my 5-year-old son is the one who feels things deeply and struggles with big emotions. He needs movement, breathing tools, space to release energy and space to calm down - just as much as (if not more than) anyone else.
Children’s yoga isn’t about being bendy or quiet.
It’s about:
✨ Moving big energy safely
✨ Learning how to calm your body
✨ Feeling strong and capable
✨ Having tools for big feelings
In our sessions we jump, balance, crawl, breathe, imagine, laugh and rest. It’s playful, active and confidence-building - meeting children where they’re at.
Seeing boys choose to come to yoga makes me really proud. Because regulation, strength and emotional awareness are life skills for everyone.

How we feel after a Yoga & Craft workshop 🙌 Swipe for a collection of photos from the sweetest morning ever 🥹
Yesterday’s “I 🩷 Me!” Workshop was just beautiful. We went on a yoga story adventure to restore our inner spark - dodging doubts in the confidence Forest, speaking kindly to our selves over the wobbly bridge of affirmation and moving through the storm of big feelings 💪
We made crafts that featured in the story including a confidence crown, an affirmation bracelet and a breathing heart ❤️
After we finished with some fun yoga and movement games before winding down to some lovely breath-work and relaxation.
So very privileged to spend the morning with this incredible little group 🥰
Our next workshop with be in May half term! So keep an eye out 😘

My husband put this sticker on me at our “I 🩷 Me!” Yoga & Craft workshop this morning and it’s got me reflecting on the truth behind these words. The idea behind LLY was to provide something for our community that allowed children to be creative and completely themselves while feeding in tools to look after their mental health. I wanted to provide something, not based around results or performance, but a space where children can just be. It was something I wanted for my own kids and something that I’ve seen benefit the countless children I teach. Our workshop today embodied all of this and it was a complete joy to witness 🥹
Putting myself out there has never been something that’s come easy for me and venturing into self-employment again felt VERY scary - it takes such a lot of vulnerability and often I feel more than a bit cringe. But today was our 4th workshop of this nature and every time I look around and see these beautiful little people moving and breathing and creating with such joy, it makes my heart so full ❤️
So THANK YOU to every single one of you who has trusted me with your wonderful children. Thank you for supporting my small business with every booking, every recommendation or acknowledgment. I appreciate you so much 🫶

‘Yoga from the heart ... in the heart of The Lakes.’
A qualified teacher through Avani Yoga Academy and Yoga Alliance, I teach seasonally themed Yoga classes in Windermere and Staveley. My style of teaching is creative and heartfelt, offering a complete practice of yogic breath-work, asana (postures,) meditation and relaxation techniques.
Classes will vary in style and content week by week, drawing upon seasonal changes and the energy of the class, making for a nurturing and tailor-made experience. Yogic philosophy will be seamlessly woven throughout to give you the tools to take your yoga 'off the mat' and bring the benefits of your practice to your everyday life.
I am also a Registered Pregnancy Yoga Teacher through Yoga London, specialising in both pre and postnatal yoga. As a new Mum myself, I've recently experienced first-hand how Yoga can help you nurture yourself and your baby throughout pregnancy and the early days of motherhood. I am passionate about helping Mums connect with their bodies and breath whilst adjusting to the changes we encounter both during and post-pregnancy, building strength and helping you feel both calm and empowered.
Families are at the very core of what and why I teach. As an Early Years teacher of 10 years and qualified Kid’s Yoga Teacher, I understand and value the importance of mindfulness and Yoga in regards to mental health and aim to help children and their families develop tools to live a more connected, stress-free life.
