I use a person centred approach where you, the client set the pace and decide what to talk about and when. Together we can make sense of your feelings and thoughts and work through the options to make the changes you wish to. As an integrative Counsellor, I tailor my approach to suit individual needs so I may use psychodynamic, CBT, guided meditation and creative approaches where appropriate. As everyone is different, I offer short term and longer term counselling depending on your needs. I work with adults experiencing a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, self- harm, domestic violence, workplace issues, stress, grief, loss and trauma. I have several years of experience in working with survivors of rape and sexual abuse. I also have an interest in supporting menopausal women as well as individuals who are experiencing the impact of redundancy. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and adhere to their ethical framework. I undertake continuous professional development and monthly supervision to develop my skills and knowledge and I have public liability insurance. About me - I had a career in recruitment working for corporate companies before becoming training to become a Career Coach supporting individuals who had been made redundant, returners to work, graduates and under-graduates. This led me to training to be an Integrative Counsellor. My focus is counselling and alongside this I also offer career and confidence coaching. Getting started - I recognise it can be daunting making contact so please email me to arrange a time for a free 20 minute call so that you can find out whether you would like to work with me and I can find out a little about what is troubling you.
