We’d like to send our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful residents at Castle View Retirement Village who recently held a Christmas Workshop and chose to support Windsor Foodshare.

Their collection raised an amazing £100, and they kindly went out and spent it on much-needed toiletries — including shampoo and shower gel — for the individuals and families we support.

Your generosity and community spirit mean so much, especially at this time of year. Thank you for making a real difference. 💚

American Thanksgiving is starting to feel like a new tradition at Castle View!

Yesterday, our Bistro was transformed with the rich colours of autumn and some playful Thanksgiving touches – those bright turkeys on the bar definitely stole the show! 🦃

Homeowners gathered for Happy Hour before sitting down to a classic feast of roast turkey and pumpkin pie – and plenty of laughter around the tables!

Despite the rain, our Christmas Market at Castle View was full of warmth, chatter and Christmas cheer.

Homeowners, families, neighbours and friends all came together in the Hub to enjoy hot drinks, cake, a brilliant mix of seasonal stalls and a very popular tombola.

We’re so grateful to everyone who helped make the day happen – from those who baked, donated prizes and volunteered, to all our wonderful stallholders and visitors who braved the weather to support us.

A huge thank you to our exhibitors ThreadsApart, Tropic Skincare, Earth Angel, Light of Lima, Penriver, Christine McClelland and Julia Dutton, and to everyone who kindly donated tombola prizes, including our Homeowners and local supporters Daniel Windsor Temptation Windsor, Waterstones Windsor and Windsor & Eton Brewery

It was especially nice to welcome a group of Windsor Mencap Service Users, who joined in the fun and chose handmade presents for friends and family.

Thanks to all your support, the market has already raised over £800 for Windsor Mencap, with extra funds also going to Macmillan Cancer Support.

This week, our beautiful Sky Lounge was brimming with laughter as Castle View’s Craft Club came together for their much-loved Christmas workshop.

There were joyful moments at every station - whether making cards, tags, paper angels, or ribbon wreaths - and plenty of stories shared over cake and carols.

What made the day even more special? Everyone pitched in and raised £100 for Windsor Foodshare during the event, reminding us just how generous and spirited our Castle View community really is.

Looking forward to tomorrow’s Christmas light switch on….

Lights will switch on from 11:30 - 5:30….and residents can enjoy festive performances alongside children rides and tasty food stalls.

Christmas is coming to the Royal Borough, with the first of the Christmas light switch-ons TOMORROW in Eton! With festive stalls and shops, a Carol Concert and even Santa Claus, there'll be something for everyone to enjoy.

Similar events will take place in Windsor this Saturday, and in Maidenhead on Saturday 22 November.
