Helen Cooke awarded CBE in His Majesty The King’s New Year Honours List 2026

MyPlus are excited and proud to share that our CEO & Founder Helen Cooke has been awarded a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the New Year Honours list in recognition of services to special education needs and disabilities.

This honour recognises Helen’s unwavering commitment to ensuring disabled people are never defined or limited by others’ expectations. For more than 20 years, since founding MyPlus, she has championed the belief that disability should never be a barrier to ambition, opportunity, or career success.

Speaking on the award, Helen said:
‘I was completely shocked - speechless, proud and very humbled. This was never something I expected, which makes it incredibly special. I hope this shines a light on the support that exists, especially for disabled students and graduates, and helps more disabled people access opportunities’.

Everyone at MyPlus congratulates Helen on this well-deserved recognition and is delighted to see her contributions acknowledged at a national level.
