Ah, the joys of gabapentin!
It's main use in medicine was seizures, but a short stop gap in use for nerve pains can be used. Those with 12+ prescription ( just a rolling prescription) are twice as likely to end up with dementia
The good news is, chronic pain is treatable!
It might not be as fast as popping a pill, but anyone who has loved with dementia in the family didn't wish it on anyone
Dementia incidence higher for younger chronic back pain patients prescribed gabapentin
