Honest post.

This morning I could've given up. Literally on everything.

As a Teacher/Instructor, just as participants it can be really tough to turn up when life is being, well, challenging to say the least. We All have battles.

However, yet again, these beautiful humans reminded me of my purpose and that I still have worth amidst the chaos.

There was a beautiful flow. An ease that I haven't felt internally for quite some time. I'd like more of that please.

We create a safe space through the Pilates Method. A space that takes us away from the rubbish and for just a short time focus inwards. And that's more than ok.

What if embracing the unknown and choosing the path of most resistance was the key to growth?

In life, sticking to the the same path that's familiar is 'easy', but does it truly lead to progress? As a Pilates Teacher and small group PT trainer, I've witnessed firsthand the transformative power of stepping out of comfort zones. My group's progress over the past month has been remarkable - from lifting weights for the first time to mastering functional resistance training. They've discovered that resilience is built by pushing boundaries.

Today, consider how small changes in direction could foster mental and physical growth. What might you learn if you did? You're more capable than you think. Here to support your journey 🙂💜!

As a health, fitness and wellbeing coach I believe it's my mission to inspire and encourage self-worth for the good of All. To help others avoid comparison in a noisy world. To truly promote the message of consistent steps through effort, not the 'quick fix' solutions that are ever more prevalent today.

As humans, we all fall off the ladder on occasion and that's absolutely me included. But I wouldn't be acting with integrity as a professional in my industry if I didn't at least strive to embody true wellbeing (and self worth) personally and not be led by very misguided noise that so many health and fitness 'professionals' appear to be at this moment in time. Honestly, give yourself a shake people 🤣.

We are worth more. YOU are worth more 💜.

These beautiful humans showing self 💜 that ripples out into the world.

They give so much to me personally and quite honestly, over the last few months they've kept me alive.

Different bodies. Different backgrounds. Coming together in a supportive space that keeps all our hearts full.

Always grateful 🙏.

Happy Valentine's Day from me to All of you.

Saturday Pilates Matwork at St.Johns Hall, Greenside was truly special this week. And of course we had the added advantage of a warmer floor thanks to the Judo mats 👌🤣 (which is very colorful much like the crew 🤗).

Through slowing down purposefully, we found real connection and awareness. Through applying principles to movement we were able to find some extra magic ✨

Week on week I see improvement and understanding with this brilliant, consistent team.

This is the stuff that carries on into life. And it's why I'm still proud to be a Pilates Method Teacher.

We're running monthly terms as of March, with some drop in single sessions subject to availability. If you'd like to join us before that drop me a message here or email elementarywellbeing@gmail.com.

Book on Gymcatch (March bookings open at the end of Jan) by following Elementary Wellbeing or email me (Leanne) elementarywellbeing@gmail.com 💜

Today is my 47th birthday 🥳! Another year around the sun.

47 feels like a real turning point. Certainly a kind of a well needed metamorphosis 🦋.

There's a feeling of inner knowing, self belief and growing self worth. A more steady-state of calm I've been working on my whole life. A gentle excitement for all that is yet to be as the year unfolds.

Every day is a new opportunity to allow our wings to unfold and become everything we are meant to be in this life 💜.

A Very Happy New Year to you All!

I'm excited to welcome you/see you back in live mat classes, online classes, Elementary Escape Events and more in the coming year together with hopefully just being a source of support and guidance and maybe even a little inspiration here and there ✨.

Personally, I don't believe it's time for going all in and burning out. A reset, yes this time of year often offers that opportunity, however habits that last are built gently, over time with respect to individual wants and needs. We are not the same and I think it's important to recognise when motivation is driven externally by the noise of social media and environments (and indeed 'popular' movement and culture) that doesn't serve us rather than listening into our internal voices.

Even more than usual, I ask for courage and self - trust, to move in a way that serves me and my whole health beyond the outwardly aesthetic. I am beyond wasting my time/life chasing the superficial. And I know that if you're reading this and are part of our wee community you may well feel the same.

I believe that only when we step back and look at what really aligns with us as individuals we build real consistent supportive and healthy behaviours. And surely the world needs more humans who are beyond the cookie cutter 'follower' mentality that some have seemed to devolve to even more of late (WTAF?!). Find out what YOU 💜.

My gentle accountability challenge for you for January...

1. Move in a way that serves YOU daily for a minimum of 20 minutes (dare I say that strength based heavy lifting isn't for everyone and a house is only as strong as the foundations it's built on! Progressive overload is a goal).

2. Choose mostly nutritionally supportive foods, with a focus on protein at every meal alongside a variety of brightly coloured fruit and veg to support your whole system.

3. Drink water daily. Cut down on the Alcohol and caffeine (note, it's my birthday on 9th Jan and dry January is a not appropriate to my wants and needs 🤣)
4. Journal daily to find patterns in what's working for you.

If you're with me in this gentle challenge, I'd love to see some photos 😊.

Onwards 🚀.

All the 💜

A group of beautiful humans chose to join me for my 'Betwixtmas' class today. Not many pics but I was choosing to be a bit more present too 😊.

This was my signature 'Elemental Flow' - a combination of Gentle Dynamic Mobility, Pilates Strength, Developmental Stretch and Guided Release.

We were present and intentional, allowing the self care we absolutely deserved in our safe space.

We were still for a while. We focused on moving into the NY with true self-worth and on letting go of the things that no longer serve us, listening instead to what feels aligned.

We thought about intrinsic, inside-out value and understanding our individual needs and wants over the shoulds and musts placed upon us through the noise of the outside world.

There are some things within our control.

We also raised £85 for my chosen charity MIND 👌.

Thank you to those who were with me. You are just brilliant 💜. Those that missed it, see you next time (and I'll do a little recording for you).
