Have you been trying to get out in nature a bit more to boost your mental wellbeing or take a break?

Then your local Black Rocks parkrun needs you! Whether you want to run, walk, dawdle, jog, chat, help…there are 9am meets on Sat 20th Dec (complete with festive music), Christmas Day, Sat 27th Dec, New Year’s Day and Sat 3rd Jan…and every other Saturday morning thereafter.

🎄 Your local Black Rocks parkrun needs you!

If you’re feeling a bit lonely this winter-time, have been thinking of volunteering but not quite taken the plunge, or simply just wondering what it’s all about, there has never been a better time to come and volunteer at parkrun.

Yes, we know it’s a bit chilly some mornings and a bit wet, but this amazing public health initiative could not run without its amazing volunteers: keeping the course safe, checking it out, cheering others on with a coffee in your hand, showing people where to park…

We need around 25 volunteers each week; jobs are dead easy and learnt in a (healthy) heartbeat. And you get a discounted drink at the The National Stone Centre afterwards.

What is not to love?? The connection you make with others through this is so much reward for the 0830 every Saturday morning meet up at the Black Rocks cafe (including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day: yes, they’re a bit nuts)! You never know: you might make a friend for life ❤️
