We are celebrating Award Success with NAPA and the Great British Care Awards Finalists.
October has been a month of celebration, as our team has received 10 finalist nominations, being recognised both nationally and regionally for their dedication and excellence in care.
Our home has been announced as a finalist in the Activity Team of the Year Award at the prestigious NAPA National Activity Awards 2025, alongside nine individual finalist nominations in the East of England Regional Great British Care Awards.
The NAPA Activity Team of the Year Award celebrates teams commitment to activity provision. Our Lifestyle Team has been recognised for its creativity, dedication and person-centred approach to activities, ensuring every resident enjoys a rich and fulfilling life.
Adding to the celebrations, nine staff members have been named as finalists in the Great British Care Awards – East of England Region, an incredible achievement that showcases the home’s talent, compassion and teamwork across all departments:
• Sarah Watson – The 3 R’s Award
• Egle Dirzinskiene – The Frontline Leaders Award
• Honey Berry – The Palliative Carer/End of Life Award
• Megan Summers – The Care Assessor/Care Planner Award
• Miranda Robinson – The Care Home Activity Organiser Award
• John Chapman – The Ancillary Worker Award

Together, these nominations highlight the breadth of skills and passion that make Orchard House such a special place to live and work. From innovation in care to outstanding leadership, creative activities and exceptional hospitality, each finalist represents the home’s values of compassion, excellence and person-centred care.
The winners of both the NAPA National Activity Awards and the East of England Great British Care Awards will be announced later this year, and the Orchard House team are already celebrating what has been an exceptional achievement across the board.
