💐Thankful Thursday 💐

Every message we receive from the families we’ve had the privilege to support carries great significance for us.
It’s a true honour when someone takes the time to reflect and share their experience.
Messages like these go beyond words, they serve as heartfelt reminders of our purpose and reinforce our dedication to offering care grounded in compassion, dignity, and respect.

To every family who has entrusted us during life’s most challenging moments, thank you. Your trust and encouragement are deeply valued and never taken for granted.

A Heart warming Remembrance Afternoon at Orchard House Care Home🌺

Today, Kerry enjoyed a lovely Remembrance Afternoon at Orchard House Care Home.
Everyone shared tea, coffee, and cake while singing along to Vera Lynn and other wartime favourites.
The highlight of the afternoon was a beautiful live performance by Imogen, bringing even more joy to the residents.
A truly heart-warming way to remember and celebrate together. 💛

🌺 Armistice Day 🌺

This morning, Phill and Ruby from Bailey & West Funeral Directors attended the Armistice Day service at the Leverington War Memorial.

It was a truly touching and emotional morning, as the community came together to remember those who gave their lives for our freedom.

Standing in the quiet of the memorial, surrounded by friends, neighbours, and veterans, was a powerful reminder of the courage and sacrifice shown by so many.

Phill and Ruby laid a poppy wreath on behalf of everyone at Bailey & West, as a small gesture of our gratitude to the fallen and those who continue to serve today.

We are proud to be part of such a caring community that continues to keep the spirit of remembrance alive.
Lest we forget. ❤️🌹

🌺Remembering Together🌺

Today, Charlotte joined members of the local community at the Leverington War Memorial for the Armistice Day service.

Together, we paused to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country, not only in the First World War but in all conflicts since.

The service was moving and reflective, a poignant reminder of the great sacrifices made so that we can live in peace today.

Charlotte was honoured to lay a wreath of poppies on behalf of everyone at W Bailey & Son Funeral Directors, as a small token of our gratitude and respect for those who served and those who continue to serve.

It was also a privilege to meet Colonel Mark Knight, whose presence added further meaning to this important occasion.

As the nation falls silent, we join in remembering them all.
We will remember them. 🌹

🌺 A Beautiful Remembrance Display in Wisbech 🌺

While walking through Wisbech today, I stopped to admire the beautiful remembrance display at Octavia Hill’s Birthplace House.
The display was lovingly knitted by two dedicated volunteers, and it’s such a thoughtful and touching tribute, a wonderful reminder of the importance of remembering and honouring those who served. ❤️

Octavia Hill, born here in Wisbech, was a remarkable social reformer and one of the founders of the National Trust. Her legacy of care for people and places feels especially meaningful at this time of remembrance.

🌸 Friday Floral Fusion 🌸

A weekly tribute in bloom.
Each Friday, we share a fusion of floral arrangements—crafted with care to honour lives remembered. Every piece tells a story of love, loss, and remembrance, beautifully united in this collective display.

Remembering all who served — people and animals alike. 💜🌺

This Remembrance Sunday, we honour not only the brave men and women who gave their lives, but also the animals who stood beside them.

The purple poppy represents these loyal companions, horses, donkeys, mules, dogs, and more who carried supplies, transported troops, and gave their all. 🐴🐾

Pictured: a stunning display of a horse showered in poppies at Wisbech Community Led Therapeutic Farm.

Lest we forget. 💜
