UPDATE 1146 - We have been advised the fix for the major service outage has been extended to 1800 today!!
Please follow directions below if your issue is medically urgent

UPDATE 1040 - We are still waiting to hear from the suppliers to advise what is causing this issue, it is a general outage with this phone supplier so not only ourselves affected. We are constantly contacting for updates.

UPDATE 0810 - As advised below, please use askmyGP between 0800 - 0930, if you have no access to the internet and are unable to use askmyGP, please report to the practice in person, this should be for urgent medical issues only however, please do not attend if your issue is routine and can wait until next week.

Our phones lines are currently still down for incoming and outgoing calls, we have contacted our provider for an urgent update.

UPDATE 1625 - We have contacted the company for an update and they have advised it is a major outage in the area. We are extremely sorry about this and hopefully be back to normal soon.

If your enquiry / condition is not urgent, please try us later or tomorrow, please be aware we will be extremely busy tomorrow due to this outage.

From Monday 2nd February, askmyGP will be open from 7.30am to 9.30am as part of a 4-week trial.
If demand is extremely high, the opening times may revert to the previous schedule before the trail period ends.

Please note this is askmyGP online system only, our phone lines will still open from 0800.

Check and Cancel your appointment 😀

From Tuesday 27th January, we should hopefully have our Check and Cancel system up and running. This system allows you to check your appointment date and time and cancel if no longer needed. This option will be available 24/7 through the main practice number and nurse line number, please listen to the options carefully.

There are restrictions on what appointment can be cancelled though, please see below appointments that are not available for cancelling, please contact us direct to cancel these appointments.

You can also cancel your appointments using our askmyGP service, once logged in, please select cancel appointment, this option is also available 24/7

We have been made aware by NHS Services that there is a shortage of Co-Codamol 30/500 medication and this is likely to last until June 2026.
Please do not contact us regarding this at the moment as we cannot provide any further information. Unfortunately, this is out with our control and we ask for your patience and co-operation while we await further information and guidance.

We are highlighting this as there may be media attention regarding it and this lets patients know beforehand. As soon as we know more, we will update everyone.

NHS Lanarkshire is urging everyone who is eligible to go for their potentially life-saving smear test.

Cervical Cancer Prevention Week begins on Monday, putting a spotlight on the importance of the test.

Celia Briffa-Watt, NHS Lanarkshire Consultant in Public Health (pictured) said: Please don’t ignore your invitation. A smear test can help stop cervical cancer before it starts – it could save your life."

We as a practice are supporting our Junior Doctors during their strike action on Tuesday 13th January – Friday 16th January.

We will do our best to have minimal disruption to the practice as possible, however there may be a slight delay in response on askmyGP and reduced appointment capacity.

Unfortunately we have not received any bloods/ urine/ x-ray/ etc results back due to an IT issue throughout Lanarkshire. When calling the Practice for results please be aware we may not have these yet. IT are working on this currently and hope to have the issue resolved later today.
