Last week, Leyton had the great honour of conducting the service for a truly special and much-loved lady. Her family thoughtfully planned a beautiful and heartfelt final farewell, perfect in every detail.

From the stunning lilac and white floral tributes, to the Irish flag and colours honouring her heritage, every element reflected who she was. Her bespoke white and silver resting bed was nothing short of breathtaking. It’s clear that your family did you proud, Lilly.

St Bernard’s Church in Burnage was filled with those who loved her most. Moving eulogies were shared and heartfelt stories painted a picture of a life so deeply cherished.

Lilly, may you rest in eternal peace. Our thoughts and prayers remain with your family at this sad time.

Reminder - Christmas Memorial Service 2025

We’d like to warmly invite you to our Christmas Memorial Service on Tuesday 9th December at 18:30, taking place at Christ Church, West Didsbury.

This meaningful evening will feature:
• Hymns
• Readings
• Candle-lighting in memory of loved ones
• Music from a brass band

Our service offers a comforting space to gather, reflect and remember, as well as a chance to reconnect with the families we’ve supported throughout the year. Refreshments will be served afterwards.

Since 17/04/2023, we’re proud to share that YOLO has donated a total of £3,539.92 to Francis House Children's Hospice for every funeral we arrange and conduct, a donation is made on behalf of the families we support, helping Francis House continue their incredible work caring for children, young people and their loved ones.

Thank you to every family who has placed their trust in us. Your support allows us to give back in a meaningful way.

Recently, Leyton, our Funeral Director, had the honour of arranging and conducting the funeral of a very much loved and respected young lady from our Hindu community.

Every detail was thoughtfully planned by her devoted best friend and sister. Ensuring her final journey was carried out with care, dignity, respect and meticulous attention to detail was incredibly important to them.

The chapel was filled with her nearest and dearest, surrounded by heartfelt tributes, touching eulogies, and prayers. Although the day itself was sad and grey, the beautiful floral arrangements along with our staff’s orange ties brought a sense of warmth and brightness.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with her family during this difficult time.

Zoe recently had the honour of conducting the funeral for Kingsley, a much-loved and well-known man in our community. The service took place at Stockport Crematorium, in the beautiful Cypress Chapel surrounded by the gardens of remembrance and bathed in glorious sunshine.

Kingsley was a keen boxer in his younger years, so it was only fitting to see a stunning boxing glove floral tribute in his memory. The family chose bright, vibrant colours to reflect his lively personality and the sound of Caribbean drums filled the chapel - a true celebration of his life.

A wonderful tribute for a wonderful man.
