💙🧡 What a week it's been at In Friendship ❄️🥶

As the first full week of 2026 draws to a close, we wanted to share a few highlights from our busy team...

We've had the pleasure of welcoming some wonderful new clients into the In Friendship family – it's always such a privilege to begin these relationships and we're looking forward to supporting you.

We've also been catching up with our existing clients after the Christmas break, helping with changes to care plans and making sure everyone's settled back into their routines.

Like everyone else, we spent part of the week preparing for the "big storm" that was forecast... which then decided not to show up! Better safe than sorry though.

We've been getting out and about with our clients no matter the weather – a bit of frost isn't going to stop us! There's nothing quite like a brisk walk followed by popping to the local cafe for a hot drink to warm up. We even had a visit from some local wildlife – a peacock decided to stop by and say hello at the window! 🦚

And finally... we may have briefly misplaced a client’s furry friend in this week's fog 🐶😅 Don't worry – they were retrieved safe and sound! A gentle reminder that this weather can be tricky for all of us, including dogs 😊

Here's to another week of caring for our community. Have a lovely weekend, everyone!

🤝 Local People. Here When You're Ready 🤝

There's something special about being cared for by someone who truly knows your area.

At In Friendship, we have a growing team in Didcot and the surrounding areas of South Oxfordshire. And we believe local carers make all the difference.

Our carers live in the communities they serve. They know the best café for a slice of cake. The quietest bench in the park. Which day the market's on. The shortcut that avoids the hill.

But it's more than local knowledge, it's connection. When your carer is from your area, they bring a sense of familiarity and community right into your home. They might know your neighbour, remember the shop that used to be on the corner, or share a love for the same local spots you do.

That's not something you can train. It comes from being part of the same community.

Whether you're in Didcot, Abingdon, Wallingford, Wantage, or the villages in between – we're here. Local people, supporting local families.

If you've been thinking about care for a loved one, there's no pressure. Just a friendly conversation when you're ready.

🏡 What Does Home Care Actually Look Like? 🏠

When people hear “home care,” they sometimes imagine something quite formal. Clinical, even.

The reality? It’s much more human than that.

It might be someone popping in each morning to help with breakfast and a chat. A friendly face to accompany your dad to his hospital appointment. An extra pair of hands so your mum can keep her home the way she likes it.

Our care is designed around each person - their routines, their preferences, their life. We’re not here to change how they live. We’re here to help them keep living it.

Want to know what support might look like for your family? We’d love to talk it through with you.

💙 You’re Not Alone in Wondering 💙

Right now, families across Oxfordshire are having the same conversation.

“Should we be worried?”
“Is it time to get some help?”
“How do we even start?”

If that sounds familiar, please know you’re not alone. And there’s no rush. No pressure.

Caring about someone enough to notice they might need support? That’s love. Not criticism. Not interfering. Just love.

As this year starts, know that whenever you’re ready to explore what help might look like, we’re just a phone call away.

Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful 2026 🧡

🕯️ The Quiet Moments Tell Us the Most 🕯️

This Christmas, many of us have spent precious time with the people we love.

And sometimes, in those quiet moments – sharing a cup of tea, watching them move around the kitchen, sitting together after lunch, we notice things we hadn’t seen before.

Perhaps Mum’s a bit unsteady on her feet. Dad’s forgetting little things. The house isn’t quite as tidy as it used to be.

It’s not easy to see. But noticing is the first step to helping.

If Christmas has left you with questions about how your loved one is managing at home, you’re not alone. And when you’re ready to talk, we’re here to listen.

🎄✨ Celebrating Our Incredible Team ✨🎄

What an amazing year it's been at In Friendship! Last night we gathered for our Christmas meal to reflect, laugh, and celebrate together 🥂

This year we've welcomed some wonderful new faces to the team, reconnected with familiar ones, and most importantly, continued supporting our amazing clients throughout Oxfordshire. None of it would be possible without this incredible group of people – each one individual and unique in their own special way 🧡

As the saying goes, "The success of any party is measured not by what is served, but by who is invited." Looking around that table, we know we've got something truly special here.

Not everyone could join us on the night, but they were absolutely there in spirit – because this team is a family, wherever we are 🌟

Here's to an even brighter 2026! Thank you to every single member of the In Friendship family for everything you do 🙏

🙏 Thank you to CareLineLive for inviting us to participate in their GP Connect webinar!

We're proud to have adopted GP Connect at In Friendship Ltd, and it's truly transformed how we support our clients. With proper consent, we can now access vital medication and medical history information directly, enabling us to provide more informed, responsive, and personalised care.

This technology saves time and, most importantly, helps us deliver better outcomes for the people we support.
