I recently made the decision to voluntarily leave the General Osteopathic Council and develop my work in line with the ethics, principles and philosophy I hold dear.
While I will continue to provide the same high standards of service to you and continue to use all the same methods and approaches, the one change will be the use of the title 'Osteopath'. By law, in the UK all Osteopaths must be registered with the General Osteopathic Council.
While the council regulates the 'title' of Osteopath, they do not regulate the use of Osteopathic approaches and techniques.
I have decided to combine my years of training and variety of methods into one holistic and exciting new way of working.

From now on, I will be continuing to work from Dental Partners as Sam Ingram Therapies and using the new title “Holistic Healthcare Therapist” instead of Osteopath.

I am now a full member of the Complementary Medical Association (CMA) and will be maintaining the same amount and quality of continued professional development (CPD) as when I was registered with the General Osteopathic Council.

I would like to thank all my patients for the support and loyalty you have given me over the years and look forward to seeing you all in the future.

It is with heavy hearts that we must inform our patients of the closure of Oakwell Osteopathy.

From Tuesday 18th April, Viv Hoford will move her work solely to Camberley Osteopathic Clinic, where she has worked for 10 years.

Sam Ingram will continue to see her patients at Dental Partners in her new role as a Holistic Healthcare Therapist after deciding to deregister from the General Osteopathic Council.

Please note that our previous methods of contact will be wound down and therefore we ask that only our new details (vivosteopath@gmail.com & sam@samingramtherapies.co.uk) be used from this point on.

Did you know Osteopaths are trained to diagnose, manage and treat people of all ages for many different conditions!

Osteopaths are highly trained Allied Health Professionals who are well known for their expertise in the evaluation, diagnosis and management of the entire musculoskeletal system and its relationship with other systems in the body.

Here at the clinic, we are always getting asked for recommendations for pilates instructors. Amy from Acbpilates runs private pilates sessions in the Chobham area and Viv and Sam had the pleasure of spending some time at her studio today, trying out the Reformer and Cadillac equipment. What a wonderful resource to have just round the corner from us!
