Strength training is an important element of physical activity for midlife and older adults because it helps to maintain muscle and bone mass and reduces risk for numerous chronic diseases.
Building stronger muscles provides a long list of health benefits for both men and women, including:
Lower risk of chronic illnesses like heart disease and diabetes
Increased metabolism for more efficient calorie burning and weight control
Improved blood flow and reduced inflammation
Better balance and decreased risk of falls
More endurance for sports and daily activities
Improved mental wellness
Core training is essential for maintaining proper balance, which can help prevent falls and injury.
The muscles of our core support our pelvis and spine, keep us upright, and stabilize the entire body during movement. The stronger and more conditioned they are, the steadier we will be.
Getting onto the floor for traditional exercises, like sit-ups and planks, may start to get difficult. We exercise standing and/or use a chair.
The classes are appropriate for adults all ages and all fitness levels, can be done with or without light weights.
Fitness classes, Chair Pilates and Stability/Balance classes are held at the Vyne/Dramatize Knaphill, Woking

The classes are pay as you go.

Hello,

I wanted to share some details about our upcoming Fitness Pilates sessions, which are designed to be low impact and accessible for everyone. These workouts can be done standing, using a chair for support for some exercises, or entirely sitting down if that's more comfortable for you. You’re welcome to bring your own weights, two water bottles, or simply join without any weights at all.

To make sure you’re comfortable during the session, please wear trainers and loose, layered clothing. The classes offer flexibility, focusing on low impact movements that are suitable for all fitness levels. The sessions are designed to give you a full body workout and building strength and stamina and workout in a Fun way.

Our sessions take place every Monday from 2 to 2.45pm at the Vyne in Knaphill for pay as you go sessions.
