Baby should sleep in the room you’re in, day and night, for at least the first 6mths. That doesn’t mean you can’t nip to the toilet or leave the room to make a cup of tea but keep baby in the same room as you as much as possible.

Hi everyone 👋 I’m Amelie, Birth & Parent Coach at Our Baby Club Wokingham & Bracknell as of September 2023!

⭐️ I thought I should probably do a little post to say Hi, and tell you a little about me! I’ve taken over this area from the wonderful Becki who has done the most incredible job in supporting lots of families on their transition to parenthood & hope I can continue to do the same.

⭐️ Some of you may know me as I already run Our Baby Club Reading & I’m so excited to be able to offer courses in Wokingham & Bracknell too!

⭐️ So a bit about me, I’m Amelie, a mum of three, that’s my little family in the second picture. I absolutely love being a mum although it’s the hardest job I’ve ever done (and I was a HoD in a Secondary School before embarking on this journey).

⭐️ I love all things labour & birth, I’m a bit of a birth geek & after having my own 3 children where I felt so underprepared I wanted to ensure that nobody felt like I did & so I trained with Our Baby Club. Their values of zero judgment or bias really resonated with me & I love being able to empower couples to have the birth they deserve, whatever that might look like.

Have you had a baby in the last 3 years?
Did you see the same NHS midwife* for your antenatal appointments, the birth of your baby and for the 10+ days following the birth?
This is Continuity of Carer.
Would you be willing to do a short 2-3 minute video of your experience which would be used for training?
If so, please contact: chaya.tagore@nhs.net before 10th November and she can pass your details on to Trixie, our National Midwifery Lead for Continuity of Carer

Happy New Year to all my wonderful clients past, present & booked onto courses this year!

Getting to support parents on such a huge life milestone is such a privilege & I cannot thank you enough for choosing Our Baby Club for your antenatal & postnatal education and support.

All set up ready for the final Mumma’s Afternoon Tea of the year! Feeling very festive & very hungry 😋 🎄!
I love this session so much, we cover relationship changes, handling advice, and some beautiful positive affirmations to end the course on a high! Add in a bag full of goodies & what’s not to love?!?

💛 CARING FOR NEW MUMS 💛

Looking forward to tomorrows Early Days Sanctuary. . . . we have the wonderful Rebecca Hogan dropping by to check in with how our new mums are transitioning into motherhood. Then Sandra, an incredible physiotherapist who specialises in The Mummy MOT will be talking through the importance of checking in with their physical recovery 🤗

And while the mums are busy chatting, I’ll hopefully get my fill of newborn cuddles 🥰

💛MAGIC SPRINKLES HEADING YOUR WAY!💛

Hands up who is excited for this weeks Early Days Sanctuary 🙌🏻

This week we have the amazing Rachel from Hartbeeps Ascot, Bracknell & North Reading is coming to do a taster of the magic she brings in her newborn classes. Playing with your baby is a great way to bond with them & these classes help you create memories you will cherish!

And for the mum’s this week, we shall be chatting through the importance of self care 🥰
