Yoga doesn’t ask you to twist into a pretzel. It asks you to come home to your body. 🌿

Yes, yoga builds strength and mobility. But its deeper gift is helping us inhabit our bodies with awareness - making them steady, sacred spaces for practice and connection.

✨ The body is not the end of yoga. It is the doorway.

November draws us inward, a month for reflection, stillness, and tending to the quiet fire within. ✨
Our November offerings are shaped by this softer rhythm: grounding practices, gentle rituals, and moments of deep rest and reconnection.

Explore what calls to you, and join us in moving with the season rather than against it. 🍂

✨ November Moon Map ✨
Our Moon Map is a monthly guide to the shifting skies, a gentle thread between cosmic movement and everyday life.

This month: Taurus’ Beaver Moon steadies the ground beneath us, Scorpio’s New Moon invites quiet transformation, and the old goddess of winter, the Cailleach, whispers of sacred rest. As meteors trace silver lines across dark skies, we’re reminded to slow down and honour the beauty of stillness.
Head to The Journal on our website to explore the full Moon Map.

Autumn is an invitation to return to the Earth, to our breath, to the quiet knowing beneath it all.
As the natural world lets go, we’re reminded that our practice, too, can be an act of participation in - not separation from - the rhythms of the Earth.

Every breath, every step, every quiet moment of awareness is a way of remembering that we are not apart from the world, but of it.

Samhain, the ancient festival of descent. The wheel turns to its shadowed half, the harvest is gathered, and the veil between worlds grows thin.

In Celtic tradition, Samhain marked both an ending and a beginning, the year’s close and the quiet seeding of the next. Fires were kindled to honour the ancestors, offerings were left at thresholds, and the living paused to listen for the whispers of those who came before.

It is a time of remembrance, of release, of stepping willingly into the fertile dark. What we lay down now nourishes what will rise in the year to come.

As the season deepens, we invite you to enter this liminal space with us. Look out for cosy Yin classes, Yoga Nidras, Restorative practices and warming Flows.

All gentle ways to prepare your body and spirit for winters embrace. 🌙

✨ Energy Healing at Sarvāṅga ✨

Beyond movement, healing also happens in stillness.
Our Reiki and Crystal Healing appointments offer a space to be deeply cared for - an hour set aside for rest, release, and renewal.

Each session takes place on a therapy bed in our quiet sanctuary, where you’ll be held with gentleness and intention. Through energy work, crystals, and presence, the body and mind are invited to soften, rebalance, and reconnect.
These treatments are for anyone needing space to breathe, to process, or simply to be nourished. A moment just for you - supported, unseen, and safe.

📅 Sessions available on Monday and Friday afternoons.
💫 Booking via our website.

Our nervous systems are working harder than ever, pulled into stress, over-stimulation, and constant doing.

Yoga offers a way home.

Through breath, movement, meditation, and sound, yoga activates the parasympathetic nervous system, the “rest and digest” branch that allows the body to heal, the mind to quiet, and the heart to soften.

The Yoga Sūtras speak of breath as a path to steadiness, and today neuroscience confirms what yogis knew thousands of years ago: slowing the breath changes the state of the whole being.

At Sarvāṅga, every class is designed with the nervous system in mind. Because true yoga isn’t about the perfect pose, it’s about creating the conditions for balance, resilience, and rest.

✨ Yoga is not just movement. It’s medicine for the nervous system.

Before anyone arrives, there’s a quiet ritual that begins each class. Mats unrolled, candles lit, props placed with care.

Preparing the room is more than tidying, it’s an offering. A way of holding space before the first breath is taken.

Every session at Sarvāṅga begins here, in this simple act of readiness. A reminder that practice isn’t only what happens on the mat, but in the intention woven into the space we share.

(You'll meet Ellen here on Saturdays at 8am for a gorgeous morning Flow.)

Yoga is often mistaken for a workout, a stretch, or a way to “get flexible.” (or worse - that it is only FOR the flexible). But the truth is much deeper. 🌿
The classical texts remind us that yoga is the stilling of the mind (Yoga Sūtras), a path of union (Bhagavad Gītā), and a practice that steadies body and breath (Haṭha Yoga Pradīpikā).

Yes, yoga strengthens and restores the body. But its essence is in how it balances the nervous system, clears the mind, and connects us to something greater than ourselves.

At Sarvāṅga, we honour yoga as it was intended: a holistic practice of body, breath, and awareness - accessible to everyone, at every stage.

✨ Yoga is not about the shapes you make. It’s about the state you reach.
