Today is the day. Funded by Aching Bad profits, Nick is on his way to Uganda with 109 other Berkshire Explorer Scouts for a 3 week trip involving community projects and a safari! Thank you for supporting Aching Bad, we will continue to sell salts for a long time to come.

SO EXCITED! Thank you for supporting Aching Bad...we will continue to sell salts so do keep spreading the word. Here at AB HQ, final preparations for Nick's trip to Uganda are underway. He is travelling with 108 other Berkshire Explorer Scouts and we now have his itinerary. Looks like the first week is going to be quite tough with 6 consecutive days of Building Project work, then he'll go rafting and on safari, then some more Project work before a day's horse riding. Just off to buy some malaria tablets...here he is on a recent training weekend.

We've held off posting about this so as not to spoil the surprise...but our local Brownies made these lovely bath salt gifts for their Mums for Mother's Day. Epsom Salts, lavender oil and Himalayan Salt beautifully and individually layered & decorated. Lucky Mums!

We can tell its January! Sales of Aching Bad Epsom Salts have increased dramatically, which is great. However our Packaging Department has suffered a bit of a blow - Nick has broken his collarbone so packing Epsom Salts is a bit more of a challenge but we can do it. Keep spreading the word and we'll keep delivering!

Its just occurred to us that we haven't posted any pics of Alex's trip to Kenya. He really enjoyed his time at the orphanage, not sure if they learned anything from the classes he and his friends taught but the children enjoyed being with their visitors!

It's Gilly (Alex & Nick's Mum) here. This morning we have waved Alex off on his trip to Kenya. Funded by Aching Bad Epsom Salts, he is off on an amazing trip for a 16 yr old! They are going to spend a week teaching in a village, a week hiking up Mount Kenya and then a week on safari. We will continue with Aching Bad as we are now working on Nick's trip to Uganda in 2019. We've been having a bit of a rest at Aching Bad HQ during exam season. Alex is off to Kenya in two weeks' time, the trip has been funded by proceeds from Aching Bad sales. Alex's younger brother, Nicholas, is now in full fundraising mode to raise the £3000 necessary for his 2019 trip to Uganda with Berkshire Scouts. His trip will last 3 weeks and they will be carrying out community projects similar to those shown in this video. Aching Bad is set to continue for quite some time to come so please send through your orders and thank you for your support.

Aching Bad is set to continue! Alex is very close to reaching his fundraising target for his trip to Kenya this year and we thank you for your support.
His younger brother, Nicholas has just signed up to go on an amazing Scout Expedition to Uganda in 2019 so he now needs to raise the funds for that! This trip to Uganda is similar to the trips Berkshire Scouts have made in 2011 and 2015 - they spend 3 weeks in a community carrying out construction projects such as building accommodation for teachers and painting the school itself. One of the 2015 participants made this lovely video.

(Alex's mum here!). This week, Alex's Kenya 2018 fund has broken the £3000 barrier, mainly from selling Epsom Salts. He has £1000 to go to raise the full amount for his trip. Thank you to those who have supported this venture...I think we will be continuing forever as his younger brother has his eye on a similar trip! As I type, Alex is out in the sleet at rugby training so when he gets back he will be once again sampling his own product and relaxing in a lovely Epsoms bath. Aching Bad is about to diversify...later this week we will be adding Dead Sea Salts and Himalayan Salts to our range! What's the difference? Well, its all down to the the proportions and variety of minerals - both contain Magnesium, Calcium and Potassium and both are 100% pure. We'll give more details when we announce formally. We are excited to try them and hope you are, too. We expect to be taking orders towards the end of the week for delivery next weekend (Sept 30th) onwards.
