Behind every school uniform is a young person with feelings, worries and pressures we might not always see.

A child’s mental health is more important than any report card.

Let’s give them the courage to talk. And let’s be ready to listen.

We’re seeing this locally too.

More young people are struggling, yet access to timely support is becoming harder for many families.

When over half of therapists working with under 18s say children’s mental health has worsened in the past year, that’s not just a statistic. It’s young people feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed or disconnected.

Early support matters. A safe space to talk can prevent small worries becoming bigger crises.

No young person should have to struggle alone.

If you’re a parent or carer in Wokingham and unsure whether your child might benefit from counselling, we’re here to talk.

More young people are finding it harder to access professional mental health support. 📣

Our latest Mindometer survey shows the impact of this gap. Almost three in five therapists (58%) working with children under 18 say that children’s mental health has deteriorated compared to last year.

This is not about a lack of expertise. We already have a trained therapy workforce ready to meet the growing need. What is missing is the funding to provide universal access to counselling in all schools and colleges.
