With all the talk of eggs at Easter, it feels like a good time to talk about egg quality.
Because it’s not just about age.
Egg quality is influenced by:
• Nutrient status
• Blood sugar balance
• Thyroid function
• Inflammation and oxidative stress
• Stress levels and sleep
• Environmental exposures
And importantly egg development takes around 3 months.
Which means what you do now is shaping the eggs you’ll ovulate in the months ahead.
So if there’s one thing I’d focus on over the next 3 months, it’s this…
Stabilise your blood sugar.
That means:
choosing protein-rich breakfasts, reducing sugar and refined carbs, and avoiding big energy spikes and crashes through the day.
Because when blood sugar is stable, hormones are more stable. And when hormones are more stable, ovulation and egg development are better supported.
It’s about understanding your body properly, and supporting it in the right way. 🤍
I hope you have a nice Easter break 🥚
