It’s time to put my student head on. My head is full of quiet reflections of yesterday. Funerals are funny things, a time to celebrate life, a time to mourn the death of a loved one, but also a time to reflect on how much you’ve changed as a person. I saw some old faces I hadn’t seen in 25 years, some by chance, some by design. It made me realise that in these situations we sometimes relate to others as previous versions of ourselves and visa versa. It felt almost like stepping into a Time Machine. It brought up a lot of awkward feelings for me so I’m glad I’m here today at college having some time to talk that through with my cohort.

I’m trying (although I could try much harder!) to be a better version of myself each day, but old patterns keep slipping me up…

Gaining self awareness is hard!

Oh well, tomorrow is another day…

Now that I’m getting into the nuts and bolts of how trauma affects our mental & physical health from an academic perspective, its refreshing to come across content like this that is so simple for everyone to understand. Let’s be real, no one has their lives completely sorted. Look beyond the mask.

Picked this up to today from college. I must admit to feeling quite proud of myself. A long way to go but knowing I’m further down the path is feeling quite good 😄 I can file is next to my 100 m swimming badge and cycling proficiency 😂

It seems I’m manifesting something I feel very aligned to which is very exciting.

Well I don't know about you but that summer just zipped by! I think we're all preparing to get back into some kind of routine now that the holiday season is over. Time to get back to the gym and hopefully book that massage you've been meaning to sort for the last 6 weeks!

To encourage you to invest in yourself, I'm offering an incentive. If you are a new client or haven't been to see me for 3 months or more, you can book 3 sessions and save yourselves 10% (to be paid in advance before booking).

Wonderful few days seeing mom in Yorkshire, she’s settled into her new care home well and seems to be behaving thankfully 👍 Nice also to spend a couple of days reconnecting with the hubby and enjoying the jewels Yorkshire can offer. A stroll around Hollingsworth lake was just joyous. 😊 Feeling rested and very grateful ❤️

Hello All. 🙋🏼Well I got back from my holiday and became quite unwell, unusual for me as I thought I had a near bullet proof immune system (0h the arrogance )

Turned out that late nights and partying in Ibiza was not what my body needed, it told me but I didn’t listen to it.

Anyway, so happy to be back, spent the morning in my happy palace (always the woods). I’ve finished my level 3 in counselling skills, on to level 4 in a couple of weeks. I feel like I’m shedding skin a little, learning to shake off friendships that no longer feel aligned. I’m also recognising when I’m being by true self versus wearing masks we feel we have to wear with certain people. I’ve found that quite tiring of late, so I’ve decided not to do it (quite so much).

Lots to do and look forward to. Still doing what I do and feeling grateful that I can, we all take our health for granted at times and it appears I need to practice what I preach a little more
