🎭 Panto Update 🎭

It’s with a heavy heart that we need to share that, due to unforeseen circumstances, we’ve made the decision to cancel this year’s pantomime.
This wasn’t a decision taken lightly. A lot of love, creativity, and hard work went into the planning, and we know many people were looking forward to it just as much as we were. Unfortunately, circumstances have changed behind the scenes, and it wouldn’t be right to continue without being able to give the production the care and energy it deserves.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone involved — cast, crew, and supporters — for the enthusiasm, imagination, and commitment you brought to Bentleyland. That spirit hasn’t gone unnoticed, and it’s something we’re incredibly proud of.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support 💙✨

🎭 PANTOMIME UPDATE 🎭

We wanted to share a quick update regarding our much-anticipated pantomime. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we’ve sadly had to postpone the original dates. We’re really sorry for any disappointment this may cause and truly appreciate your understanding 🫶

The good news is… the panto has been rescheduled and will now take place on:
✨ Saturday 17th January
✨ Sunday 18th January

We promise it will be well worth the wait and just as full of laughs, chaos, and panto magic as ever 🤪🎉

If you’ve already purchased a ticket and are unable to make the new dates, please speak with Grant or Rach, who will be happy to arrange a full refund for you, no problem at all 💛

Thank you so much for your continued support, patience, and excitement — we can’t wait to bring this one to life very soon! 🎭✨

🎄 CHRISTMAS CALENDAR FUN! 🍫🥰

This morning, our lovely residents got stuck into opening their Christmas calendars, hunting for that oh-so-delicious chocolate hidden behind each little door! The excitement, the smiles, and the laughter were absolutely contagious — it really is the little things that make this season so magical 🫶

We just love Christmas here at Bentley, and seeing everyone enjoy these festive treats is the perfect start to our holiday cheer! ✨

🎄 A HUGE HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO OUR LITTLE STARS FROM THE ! 🫶✨

Tonight our residents were treated to something truly magical. Our brilliant group of children, aged just 4 to 8, from the Squirrel Scouts (orange tops) and the Beaver Scouts (blue tops), lifted the whole home with their beautiful Christmas carols 🎶💙❤️

Originally, we were all set for a full festive visit, complete with the Scouts bringing along Santa’s sleigh so everyone could wave hello to the big man himself... but life threw a little curveball at the last minute.

Did that stop the magic? Not a chance.
These incredible kids hopped straight onto a live link, singing their hearts out right into our TV screen — and the room lit up. Apart from a tiny sprinkle of connection gremlins (’tis the season), it genuinely felt like they were right here with us.

Our residents smiled, tapped along, swayed to the music and soaked up every note. It was warm, it was joyful, it was festive… and it meant the world to everyone watching 🥰✨

To our wonderful Squirrels and Beavers, and all the leaders who made it happen:
THANK YOU for giving us your time, your voices, and your Christmas cheer. Your effort was enormous, your hearts even bigger, and we appreciate you more than words can say 🫶

We absolutely cannot wait for the day we meet you all in person — sleigh, Santa and all! 🎅💫

🎤 KARAOKE FUN GALORE! 🎶😎

Momday afternoon, the home was buzzing with music, laughter, and a little bit of cheeky competition! Our fabulous Natalie took to the stage and absolutely owned it 🤪💓 She sang her heart out, entertained everyone, and even roped in the relatives to grab the mic and join in — talk about bringing the house down!

From classic hits to some unexpected surprises, the energy in the room was contagious. Feet tapping, smiles all around, and memories made that will have us all grinning for days 🥰

A massive thank you to Natalie for leading the way and showing us how it’s done! Truly an afternoon to remember 🎤✨

🎉 A VERY HAPPY (BELATED) BIRTHDAY TO OUR WONDERFUL CHARLES! 🥰🎂✨

We couldn’t let the week slip by without giving a huge shoutout to our brilliant Charles, who celebrated his birthday the day before yesterday — and what a gent he is.

He spent his special day surrounded by smiles, warm wishes and plenty of chatter from residents and staff alike. And the grin on his face? Pure gold. You can tell he felt the love — and he deserves every ounce of it.

Here’s to many more years of joy, laughter and those legendary Charles one-liners that keep us all going 🥰

We’ve been absolutely spoiled today with a fantastic donation of brand-new books… and trust us, the library shelf is looking mighty fine because of it 😎😍

From gripping mysteries to cosy classics, heartwarmers to page-turners, there’s something tucked in there for every curious mind. The residents have already been eyeing up the new titles, and we don’t blame them — the shelf is practically calling your name 👀📖

Our wonderful Charles let us in on a golden memory this afternoon! Back in his day, he was an Activity Coordinator just like our own wild and wonderful team… and trust us, he fit right in. Costumes, jokes, gags, the lot. The man was basically his own one-man panto troupe 😎👏

Well… Grant wandered past and caught him right in the middle of reminiscing with one of his handmade props from years ago. Yes, you read that right — handmade. And honestly, it’s brilliant. Proper vintage Charles humour at its finest 😂👌

Well… you know our Rach. Give her a mission and the shavers are out faster than you can say number one all over 🤣✂️

And the result? Peter looks sharp, fresh and absolutely chuffed with himself. That grin says everything. Smart as anything and ready to show off his new look to anyone who passes! 😁💈

This afternoon, Fred clocked Grant using his fancy folding techno-wizard gizmo (yes, the Samsung Z Fold… the one that looks like it fell out of a spaceship 👀😂).
And honestly, Fred’s face said it all: “What in the blinking heck is THAT supposed to be?” 🤣

But the best bit?
The moment Fred realised Grant was taking photos… he launched himself straight into the shot like an absolute pro.

This morning we found our wonderful Alison deep in her suitcase, rooting around like she was hunting for buried treasure 🤣 Grant stood there wondering whether she was packing, unpacking, or secretly planning her next world tour. Honestly… with Alison, who knows? She’s always off somewhere in spirit anyway!

But we think she was unpacking… emphasis on think 🤷‍♂️😂

😂 Cat On A Head… Literally! 😂

Yesterday afternoon we stumbled upon something glorious… Eric, sitting there without a care in the world, casually sporting a soft toy cat on his head like it was the latest Paris runway fashion 🤦‍♂️🐱✨

Forget Cat in the Hat… we’ve now got Cat on the Head and honestly, it’s a vibe. Eric didn’t even flinch — just carried on like this was the most normal accessory choice imaginable 😂

Never change, Eric. You’re an absolute icon.
