🎤✨ Christmas Karaoke Turns into an ABBA Tribute! 🕺💃

This morning’s Christmas karaoke session swiftly took a surprising twist… somehow, it turned into a full-blown ABBA tribute act! How it happened, we have absolutely no idea 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️😂 — but we do know that everyone had an absolute blast.

From sparkling performances to spontaneous dance moves, the room was full of laughter, festive cheer, and plenty of “Dancing Queen” vibes 🥰. Our residents truly brought the holiday spirit to life, and even a few staff couldn’t resist joining in!

😂 Caught in the Act! 🥰

This afternoon, Grant was minding his own business in the office when the door creaked open ever so slowly… and all he could see was one cheeky eye peeking through!

“Come in,” he said — and the door opened just a tad more to reveal the biggest cheeky smile you could imagine… it was none other than Alison! 😏

She was just making sure Grant was actually working, of course 😉 Almost like she was caught in the act herself! After a little giggle, she toddled on her merry way, leaving us all smiling from ear to ear.

Alison, we love you — never change! 🫶💓

🎨 Amazing Art in Action! 🎨

Today we were joined by some lovely students and the wonderful Eloisa from Wednesfield High Academy to work on our first floor seasonal display… and wow — it looks absolutely amazing! 🤩

The feedback has been brilliant and we love it! A huge thank you to all the students for their hard work and creativity — you’ve really brightened up our home! 🥰

We caught the wonderful June and her husband Brian sharing the biggest, warmest hug this afternoon, and just look at June’s face — it says it all! 🥰

The pure love, care, and compassion between them is just absolutely heart-melting. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do every day. 🫶💓

🎉 Jigsaw Wall Update! 🎉

Since our last update, the puzzlers have been absolutely smashing it — three jigsaws have been completed! 😱 Two of them are now proudly hanging on the wall, while we’re letting the third one dry before it joins the display.

The wall is looking absolutely amazing 🥰😎💓. A huge shoutout to all our brilliant residents for their dedication, focus, and teamwork — you’ve truly brought these pieces to life! 🫶

Keep an eye out for the final installation — it’s going to be a stunning visual treat! 🖼️✨

🌟 Moment of the Month: The Two Chris’! 🌟

Some moments hit you right in the heart, and this one absolutely stole the crown for November.

Recently, we were joined by Chris’ choir, filling the home with beautiful harmonies and those goosebump-raising notes we all adore. But among all the music and melodies, there was one tiny, perfect moment that topped everything…

💫 Our Chris spotted Choir Chris.
💫 Choir Chris smiled.
💫 And our Chris lit up like a Christmas tree plugged in for the first time.

The softest, sweetest grin spread across his face — one of those smiles that needs no words, just warmth. We managed to catch it at the exact right second, and honestly… it melted the entire team into puddles.

Moments like this remind us why we love what we do. Human connection. Familiar faces. Pure joy. Nothing fancy, just magic.

🎄✨ The Festive Season Has Officially Begun! ✨🎄

Yesterday, our residents had their first true indulgence of the Christmas season… and what better way to kick it all off than with the Queen of Christmas herself! 👑🎤

We settled in for Mariah Carey’s Christmas special (the Monday afternoon one that fills every corner of the room with glitter, high notes and pure festive drama), and honestly… they loved it. The room was glowing with cosy lights, warm drinks and that unmistakable December buzz.

Smiles everywhere. Toes tapping. A couple of quiet sing-alongs that got louder the more Mariah hit those notes. Even the staff found themselves swaying like backup dancers who didn’t ask to audition but somehow ended up on stage.

It felt like the perfect spark to light the festive fuse. And trust us… the celebrations have only just begun! 🎅🫶✨

📚✨ Karen’s Book Club Update! ✨📚

This week, our literary travellers continued their journey through the third book in the Chronicles of Narnia collection, The Horse and The Boy, and what a cosy adventure it turned into!

We took the session up to the first floor this time, giving some of our lovely regulars from downstairs the chance to join a brand-new audience… and they absolutely loved it. Fresh faces, familiar favourites, and a whole lot of imagination filling the room.

Karen, as always, brought the story to life with her warm voice and brilliant pacing. You could feel the room settling into that magical hush only a good book can create.

Everyone enjoyed themselves, and we can’t wait to return next week for the next chapter of our Narnian expedition! 🦁❄️✨

🎄✨ A Magical Monday with Jan’s GAP Group 1! ✨🎄

Monday brought a whole wave of creative energy into Bentley as Jan’s GAP Group 1 joined us for a festive-filled day of crafting Christmas cards with our residents… and wow, did they smash it!

The room was buzzing with chatter, ideas flying about, glitter trying its best to escape, and the most gorgeous handmade cards taking shape right before our eyes. The residents absolutely loved the company, and the students brought such warmth, patience and proper get-stuck-in enthusiasm.

Activities like this aren’t just fun. They’re real life skills in action — communication, teamwork, creativity, connection — and these young people showed every bit of it. You should’ve seen the proud smiles as each card was finished. Pure magic.

A huge thank you to the group for their kindness and effort. You were brilliant.
Can’t wait to welcome you back for the next session! 🥰✨

Bless them… built like tanks, balanced like jelly. Gorgeous creatures, but gravity is not their friend.

Who knew the animal kingdom had such chaotic energy? 😅

It’s nearly that magical time again and we’re gearing up for our Christmas Fayre on the 13th of December… and guess what? We currently have up to 4 stalls available for anyone who’d love to join us and showcase their goodies! 🎁🛍️

Whether you’re selling crafts, bakes, gifts, handmade treasures or festive bits, we’d love to have you as part of our cosy little winter wonderland. ❄️❤️

We’re simply asking for 10% of your overall profit to go towards our Residents’ Fund, helping us create more lovely moments and events throughout the year.

This afternoon, our lovely lot have been putting their thinking caps on for a quiz-themed afternoon — testing their knowledge and quick reactions with some classic favourites like Lingo, Tipping Point, and Deal or No Deal! 🤓📺

It’s all about keeping those brains buzzing and having a good laugh along the way — and believe us, there’s been plenty of that! 😂👏
