🚨 IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE – PLEASE CHECK YOUR WIPES 🚨

The UK Government has issued an urgent warning about certain non‑sterile alcohol‑free wipes that may be contaminated with harmful bacteria. One death has sadly been linked to this issue.

🦠 The wipes may contain Burkholderia stabilis, a bacteria that can cause serious infections — especially in vulnerable people.

❌ If you have any of these wipes at home, in first aid kits, or in care settings, stop using them immediately:

- ValueAid Alcohol Free Cleansing Wipes
- Microsafe Moist Wipe Alcohol Free
- Steroplast Sterowipe Alcohol Free Cleansing Wipes
- Reliwipe Alcohol Free Cleansing Wipes

These wipes should NOT be used for:
- Cleaning wounds or broken skin
- First aid
- Cleaning medical devices or IV lines

🧼 What to do:
✔️ Stop using them straight away
✔️ Dispose of them in your household waste
✔️ Share this message with carers, family members, and anyone who may use these products

Know the Signs of Breast Cancer 💗

Checking your breasts regularly can save your life. Make it a monthly habit and get to know what’s normal for you.

Look out for:
• a lump in the breast
• a visible lump in the armpit
• dimpled or puckered skin
• swelling of all or part of the breast
• ni**le changes, including inversion
• redness or warmth
• skin irritation or texture changes
• bloody or unusual discharge

If you notice anything unusual, speak to your GP. Most changes aren’t cancer, but early diagnosis makes treatment more effective.

Breast Screening
If you’re aged 50 to 71, keep an eye out for your NHS breast screening invitation. Screening helps detect breast cancer early, when it’s easier to treat.
