What a fantastic day out with the residents 🎳
We headed to the bowling arcade followed by a well earned stop at McDonald's. Everyone really enjoyed themselves _ plenty of strikes (and a few gutter balls 😂) and lots of happy faces all round.

Maplebrook went full jungle mode🌴🦜

There were plenty of brave faces in the home today as we held our very own Bushtucker Trials! 🐜🌿

Residents took on the challenge with lots of laughter and excitement. Everyone showed great team spirit and a sense of adventure, and it was wonderful to see so many smiles and hear so much laughter around the room.

Well done to all of our residents for being such good sports and joining in the fun – you were all stars today! ⭐

Spring has brought plenty of smiles here at the Maplebrook! 🌸🐾

We had a wonderful visit from the Animal Man, who introduced us to some amazing creatures. Residents enjoyed meeting a hairless guinea pig, an owl, a frog and even a snake! There were lots of curious questions, gentle strokes, and plenty of laughter as everyone got up close to the animals.

With the brighter weather, we’ve also been making the most of our garden, enjoying the sunshine and fresh spring air. ☀️🌷

To top it all off, we held our very own Grand National Race! There was great excitement as everyone chose their horses and cheered them on – a fantastic afternoon full of fun and friendly competition. 🏇

🎄Christmas at Maplebrook 🎄

What a truly special day we shared together. Christmas Day was filled with festive cheer as our residents enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch lovingly prepared and served by our wonderful kitchen team 🍽️✨

The afternoon was full of music and laughter as we sang carols and welcomed friends and family to celebrate with us. It was heart-warming to see so many smiles, hugs, and joyful moments shared throughout the day ❤️

🦄💖 A Very Special Visit at Our Care Home! 💖🦄

We were delighted to welcome two very special guests into our home — the adorable ponies Lolipop and Moomin! 🐴✨ They were beautifully behaved and brought so many smiles, laughs, and moments of joy to our residents.

The residents absolutely loved spending time with them, enjoying gentle strokes, cuddles, and the wonderful sense of calm they brought with them. Visits like this highlight the amazing benefits of pet therapy, which can help boost mood, reduce anxiety, and create meaningful connections. 💕

🌸 Goodbye & Good Luck, Jaz! 🌸

On Friday we said a fond farewell to Jaz, our wonderful receptionist here at Maplebrook Care Home. 💐

Jaz has been the smiling face that greets everyone who walks through our doors — residents, families, and staff alike. Her warmth, kindness, and laughter have made Maplebrook an even brighter place. 💛

While we’re sad to see her go, we’re so excited for her as she begins a new chapter in her career. The whole team will miss her dearly, but we know she’ll continue to spread joy wherever she goes.

Last week, our home was filled with colour, laughter, and the delicious aroma of Indian spices as we celebrated Diwali – the Festival of Lights. 🌟

Our wonderful carers Pam, Pam, and Priya, together with our fabulous Hospitality Team, Susan and Kim, treated everyone to a feast of traditional home-cooked Indian dishes. 🍛💛

We thought that our wonderful resident Lillian deserved her own post! She was up on her feet dancing with our fantastic team during a recent live performance. She especially lit up when hearing songs from her youth — proof of just how powerful music can be in unlocking memories and sparking joy. 🎶💖
