Celebrating National Apprenticeship week! 💚

Apprenticeships play such an important role in creating opportunities and building long-term careers, and this week we’re shining a spotlight on three amazing members of our team: Megan, Giorgia-mae and Annabel!

A huge congratulation to Megan in our Central Compliance Team, who has recently completed her NVQ Level 2 in Recruitment Resourcing, achieving distinctions across the board! This is an incredible achievement and a true reflection of her hard work and dedication.

We are equally proud of Annabel and Giorgia-mae, who are also on their apprenticeship journey, both within reach of completion! Annabel continues to make a fantastic impact supporting Recruitment, while Giorgia-mae is doing a brilliant job supporting HR, both within our Central Office Team.

All three of our apprentices show so much commitment and enthusiasm every single day, and it’s been amazing to see their confidence and skills grow. We couldn’t be prouder!

At Apollo Home Healthcare, we’re committed to investing in our people and supporting their growth. 💚

Colleagues from our Management and Leadership Programme came together this week at our West Midlands office for a day of learning and development, marking their 3rd session on the course.

These sessions are about more than building skills, they’re about shaping the leaders of the future, equipping our people to lead with confidence, compassion, and a clear vision. It was fantastic to see such strong engagement, collaboration, and commitment to personal and professional development across the group.

By investing in leadership within our teams, we’re not just supporting our colleagues, we’re strengthening the care and support we provide to every client, ensuring our values remain at the heart of everything we do.

At Apollo Home Healthcare, our values are at the heart of everything we do. The 6 Cs, communication, commitment, competence, compassion, courage, and care, are more than just words; they are the foundation on which every part of our work is built. They guide how we support our clients, how we connect with families, and how we work together as a team.

Every day, these values ensure that the care we provide is person-centred, safe, and delivered with genuine kindness and understanding. They remind us to listen, to act with integrity, and to go the extra mile, even in the smallest moments, because it’s these moments that make the biggest difference in someone’s life.

By using these values in everything we do, we create a culture where our clients feel supported, respected, and truly cared for, and where our teams feel empowered to deliver care with confidence, compassion, and courage. The 6 Cs aren’t just principles we follow, they are the heart of Apollo Home Healthcare, shaping the difference we make in the lives of every person we support.

Time to Talk 💚

At Apollo Home Healthcare, we know that talking about how you’re feeling isn’t always easy, but it can make all the difference. That’s why we have trained Mental Health First Aiders across our teams, here to listen, support, and help guide anyone who needs it.

Whether you’re a Healthcare Assistant, a colleague, a client or someone we support, your wellbeing matters. Sometimes it’s just about having someone to listen, a safe space to share, or a friendly face who understands.

This Time to Talk Day, we encourage everyone to check in with themselves and those around them. Because even a small conversation can have a big impact 💚

Would you like to make a difference in someone’s life everyday?

For Toby and Geneva, that difference isn’t just about care, it’s about feeling safe, understood, and truly supported every single day. It’s the small moments of connection, the reassurance, and the kindness that can transform their day and help them live with confidence and dignity.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in delivering compassionate, person-centred care that enables individuals to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own homes. Your presence, your patience, and your commitment can create a real, lasting impact.

As Time to Talk Day approaches, we want to take a moment to remind our teams that your mental health matters, and that support is always available.

We know that starting a conversation about how you’re feeling isn’t always easy. Sometimes it can feel uncomfortable, overwhelming, or like you’re not quite sure where to begin. But talking really can make a difference.

That’s why we’re proud to have trained Mental Health First Aiders across Apollo Home Healthcare. They’re here to listen without judgement, offer support, and help guide you towards the right next steps, whether you need someone to talk to, signposting to additional support, or simply a listening ear.

Ahead of Time to Talk Day, we encourage everyone to check in with themselves and with those around them. A simple conversation could be the first step towards feeling supported 💚

At Apollo Home Healthcare, we believe our people are our greatest asset. That’s why we provide ongoing training and development to ensure every team member has the knowledge, skills, and confidence to deliver the highest standards of care.

In February alone, we’re delivering a wide range of training, including manual handling, medication administration, and basic and advanced life support.

For those providing specialist care, our Registered Nurses deliver tailored training in specialist clinical interventions and complex conditions, ensuring staff are fully prepared to meet each client’s individual needs.
Our nurse-led sign-off process ensures every clinical task is learned, observed, and practised under supervision until competency is achieved. Ongoing support, peer reviews, and refresher training help keep skills sharp and build confidence in practice.
