Sometimes the most 'therapeutic' thing you can do for yourself on a cold January day is a small, intentional act of comfort. For me, it’s a quiet cup of tea before my first session, enjoying the peaceful start to the week.

Feeling the January 'must-do' pressure?

In my practice, we often talk about 'Cognitive Distortions', those little tricks our brain plays on us, like 'All-or-Nothing' thinking for example; "If I didn't hit my gym goal today, the whole year is a failure."

If your inner critic is being a bit loud this week, try this 3-step reset:

1️⃣ Pause: Acknowledge the thought without judging it.
2️⃣ Challenge: Is this thought 100% true, or is it the "January pressure" talking?
3️⃣ Reframe: What would I say to a friend in this exact position?

Be as kind to yourself as you are to others today. 🤍

I think this is such an important message. If we can have a healthy realtionship with ourselves then we will likely see and hear unhealthy behaviour from other. Once we can see this unhealthy behaviour in others it will allow you to impement boundaries easier as you will be more aware of what you don't want.
