Position: Domiciliary Care Worker
Location: Wolverhampton
Start Date: Immediately
Employment Type: Ongoing
Pay Rate: £14
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Providing high quality person-centred care to service users in their own homes in accordance with their support plan
• Providing personal care duties such as washing, dressing, bathing, toileting and medication monitoring and/or assistance with these activities.
• Administering medications to service users and monitoring health conditions
• Assistance with shopping and support with meal preparation
• Supporting with house hold tasks, daily living tasks including cleaning
• Support service users to book and attend appointments.
• Supporting service users to access the community, socialise, undertake leisure activities and promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Manual handling, using equipment where required
• Being flexible to work a range of shift patterns
• Maintaining appropriate records of care provided, observing and promptly reporting changes or concerns in your service user's circumstances or condition
• Treating service users with dignity and respect, communicating effectively to meet their diverse needs
Mandatory requirements:
• Compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
• Enhanced DBS check.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Valid driving license and access to a vehicle (desirable).

• Mandatory training in safeguarding, manual handling, first aid, and medication administration.
• Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
• Appropriate level of training will be provided.
Specific Skills:
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Good organisational skills.
Experience:
• Previous experience in domiciliary care or a similar setting is preferred.
• Experience working with older adults and understanding their specific needs.
IT Literacy:
• Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication.
