Grief is a personal experience, but it’s not one that you have to go through alone.

Our pop-up Bereavement Information Points are hosted by our specialist support team out in the community for people to find out more about services offered locally in relation to grief and wellbeing.

There is no need to book a slot in advance, just drop in for a chat with the team.
These events are open to everyone, not just those who have lost a loved one at Compton.

Come along and talk to the team:
💛 Monday 2 February, 11am – 12.30pm, Codsall Library
💛 Thursday 5 February, 10am – 12pm, Perton Library

The government has updated its guidance on using mobile phones in schools in England and there’s an important reminder in there about pupils with medical conditions.

While the guidance supports limiting phone use during the school day, some pupils need access, as vital tech like continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and hybrid closed loops (HCLs) are linked to phones.

The guidance also reinforces schools’ existing duties to:

• make reasonable adjustments for pupils to avoid discrimination
• put arrangements in place to support pupils with medical conditions

We’re also engaging with the government to make sure that the needs of pupils with diabetes aren’t overlooked. The bottom line is clear. Schools should continue supporting pupils with diabetes to use their phones for diabetes tech. Because ultimately, managing a medical condition safely should never be treated like breaking the rules.

New data shows around 1 in 4 young people leave school without protection against HPV (human papillomavirus).

Left school? You can get the HPV vaccine at your GP practice until the age of 25.

Still in school? Catch-up is offered by SAIS (school-age vaccination) teams.
