I am currently undertaking a huge body of inner work engaging with a year long shamanic initiation guided by the wonderful Ruth Cato. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time but felt a very strong pull this year as I see out the decade of my 30s where so much personal change has happened for me. Last weekend we journeyed on the land and practiced learning more about our intuition. I can already feel and sense the shifts in me and in my work. It’s changing because I’m changing and have changed so much. Bigness can feel scary and taking up space can feel like abandonment when you’ve been so used to shrinking. Realising your power and magic is fundamental on this path and I’m enjoying the places this journey is enabling me to explore. I have always had strong intuition but younger me would have pushed it down, disregarded it or not valued it. Now, especially after the last five years, I understand how important my intuition is as a guiding force in my life and work. There is a reason things have led me on this path. I’ve done a lot of deep work and it’s only now I’m dreaming the bigness into being. It’s only now I can see with clarity how beautiful it all is. I am grateful and thankful. Deep inner work is not for the faint hearted but with the courage I have evoked within me the last few years I know I have everything and more within me for the journey. There are so many things I love about Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine but the more I’m on this journey the more I understand that it is the Esoteric and spiritual meanings of the acupuncture points where my passion is really ignited. All acupuncture points have physical actions as well as emotional and spiritual ones. For me, learning and understanding the shamanic and esoteric meanings of the points has so many benefits. Let’s take LU-7 for example which is Lie Que or ‘Broken Sequence’ this has many great physical actions especially for helping with tightness in the neck and head, however let’s look at the spiritual and shamanic meanings of this wonderful point. The name is associated with the God of thunder so when I am working with someone who is expecting grief or sadness and needs some clarity, an opening, this point comes to mind. Imagine a stormy sky where we then hear as clash of thunder. It stops us momentarily so we can hear with clarity in the storm. If we are navigating heavy emotions such as grief and sadness or feel we are going through a stormy period emotionally this point can be really helpful in allowing us to hear something we may have overlooked. When I needle any acupuncture point my intention is always to bring what is needed for the person in front of me at that time and understanding the esoteric and spiritual meanings of the points can really assist with that. We have immense and often overlooked or poorly understood capacity to heal if we begin to translate the things we are experiencing and I’m here to help with that ☯️ Thank you to my great teachers Chris, Dr. Baik and the wonderful Jeffrey Yuen whose work has sparked so much Joy within me. All appointments with me require a booking part payment which is deducted from the remaining balance of your appointment. I have no more Saturday appointments left now for 2025, I’ll be operating a cancellation list if any become free. I’ll be be breaking up on Friday 19th December and reopening in the new year. Thank you to every person who has visited me this week. I’ve truly been humbled by the releases and shifts taking place. Holding on takes so much energy. There is no magic formula, or technique or protocol for this ‘work’. Although a lot of people will try and make you believe there is. A lot of the healing that takes place is only partly the therapy itself, the rest, I am sure, is always deep presence and Love. I used to think maybe it’s the room, or the music, or only the treatment but in all my years of experience I know these are the notes. The symphony is always Love. When we can be with what is for us, that’s when we remember who we are. Thank you for your trust. Love and gentleness, Omie 🤍
