CAROLS IN THE COMMUNITY HUB - SATURDAY 13TH DECEMBER

The Friends are getting into the festive spirit next Saturday at 2pm with our annual Carols in the Community Hub event! We'll be singing Christmas songs, reading festive poetry, and having a tasty mince pie and hot cuppa after.

There'll also be an opportunity before the event to purchase hearts for loved ones, which will be displayed on our tree throughout December and read out at the event.

With just a month until Christmas, now's the time to be thinking about presents! If you're shopping online for gifts, use EasyFundraising and give donations to our group without spending any extra pennies! Sign up, select our charity, then use the site to search for the retailer you want to shop through. You'll be directed to their website so you can browse and make a purchase as normal. It's as simple as that. A link to our page is in the comments.

A big thank you to High View PLC Year 2 and Year 5 for attending our Remembrance Service again this year. The children were amazing as ever, and the wreaths are absolutely wonderful. Thank you ❤️🌹

Please can we remind all dog walkers that dogs should be on a lead in the cemetery. This is to keep all dogs and wildlife safe and happy, and to remain respectful in the cemetery. Thank you very much! 🐾

We Will Remember Them 🌹

Taking inspiration from Thurnscoe Park's fantastic cross display, we commissioned GM Fabrications to produce our own set of poppy crosses as a lasting tribute to those who gave their lives for us. There a couple of slots for anybody who wishes to bring a wooden cross as usual.

A HUGE thank you to Max and GM Fabrications, and to the Barnsley Council Bereavement Services for continued support!

We've also purchased poppies for all of the gates in the cemetery, and we will continue to donate to the Royal British Legion.
