**IMPORTANT NOTICE**
Dear Patients, we are having to make changes to our dispensary service & opening times due to 3 out of our 5 dispensers being on maternity leave. Whilst it is fabulous news for our 3 dispensers the bad news is we have not been able to find anyone to cover the maternity leave despite advertising. Dispensers need a qualification and intense training to do their job so it is not a case of anyone can do it. We understand this is not ideal and have not made the decision lightly but we have to do this to ensure your medications are dispensed safely and to protect the remaining 2 dispensers so they can continue to run it with just the 2 of them. Please see below for full details. Please be kind and remember this is a temporary change until we have a full capacity of staff. Thank you.

We now receive between 6-10 triage requests per hour throughout the whole day, so sometimes 100 triage queries in a single day. Each one has to be read, and a course of action decided upon. Many are dealt with directly if safe to do so, some are seen rapidly if indicated and some are routine matters which may take longer to be seen. The demand outweighs the capacity but we are working hard to provide appointments for those that need them. Thank you for your understanding and patience at these busy times 🙏🧡

POLITE REQUEST FROM THE SURGERY
Please do not dump medical equipment or medications at the surgery without speaking to staff member. Please speak to us and we can advise on the best course of action. Yesterday someone left a commode amongst other things in the lobby as you enter the building. We understand there is a waiting time for equipment to be collected but we cannot arrange this any quicker. We believe each piece of equipment has a serial number which can be traced back to the recipient which is currently under investigation.

The majority of flu invites have now been sent to those eligible so if you have not had an invite and you believe you are eligible for a flu vaccine please contact the surgery. It may be that we do not have the correct contact information for you. We still have some appointments in both our Saturday clinics on the 4th & 11th of October so please contact our reception team on 01929 462376

PLEASE HAVE YOUR FLU VACCINE AT THE SURGERY 🙏.
Invites are now being sent to all those eligible for the flu vaccine this year. Texts & emails will contain a booking link for the Saturday clinics on the 4th & 11th Oct, for you to book an appointment time that suits you. Please wait for your invite where possible as we do not want to block the phone lines for those that need to speak to us. If you do need to book over the phone we ask that you call later in the day. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you in October.
