🌿 S E R V I C E • A N N O U N C E M E N T 🌿

Due to the rough weather conditions - all plaques that were on the head of recent resting spots, have now been moved to the foot of the grave.

This is a temporary measure; they will be back where they should be, once it is time to fix them in place.

The toilet is also temporarily out of use due to wind damage to the door.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

In more positive news - the pot holes appear to have been filled on the alternative access route for next week!

🚧 R O A D • C L O S U R E • N O T I C E 🚧

MONDAY 8th - FRIDAY 12th December (24 hours a day).

There will be a section of road closed in Woolley next week; this will make visits to Penlow difficult.

You can still gain access by using the Eastcott road; but please be aware that this is a tiny road that will be busy, and is pretty rough with few passing places.

The road may well be open sooner than Friday but we don’t know that for sure. I will post any updates here if there are any.

Safely tucked in with love by your family; now you too can rest under the rowan tree, soaking up the surroundings that you held so dear.

🌅 A new sunset for Sue 🌅

Today we welcomed Sue to her new home. She had a gorgeous sunny day for this time of year - which I gather was very fitting for her. We heard tales of joy for this much loved, kind hearted lady who was always happy to be looking after her friends and family💖

Now that the sun is setting so early; we are forced to reduce our burial hours slightly.

We need to ensure the safety of staff whilst tucking in your loved ones, with the light fading fast now.

This is a process that we treat with the utmost care; rushing this isn’t an option that we are willing to choose.

Burial hours will extend again in the Spring when we are nearer to returning to British Summer Time.

Today was a day for Tony 🌳 he came to rest his earthly body in his new home at Atlantic Rest.

Having been a forward thinker - Tony had made his arrangements ahead of time; this afforded him the chance to visit Penlow on many occasions with his dear wife, making memories together 💕.

The last time that I saw Tony, he came to plant an oak sapling in Penlow Woods; as part of his year of celebration of his 80th birthday 🎉

When you’ve fully settled in at Penlow Tony; and your tree is planted - may the roots join beneath the ground and entwine a new story 💙

Today we welcomed Ralph; after much travelling since his departure in 2010 - today he settled to a forever home at Penlow.

I’m told Ralph loved the sunshine and that’s just what he got this morning ☀️ 💛 🌞

Yvette - you have certainly had a burial to remember today… in this weather! 🌧️

It was a bit tricky to hear your eulogy against the backdrop of the rain; bouncing against the many umbrellas ☔️, but what was very clear to see was - the smiles and the laughs of your friends and family. They all braved this crazy weather for you today - you understandably mean a lot to them ♥️ 🌍
