Growing up, I have watched my mum work in care, making a difference to others lives.
This inspired a desire in me to want to help others and follow a similar path.
I took my first step supporting adults with learning disabilities but quickly decided that I wanted to make a difference to the older generation.
So, I took the leap and 4 years ago I joined Honeysuckle Home Care.
At Honeysuckle Home Care I am able to work locally in the community, supporting the older generation on my doorstep.
I support individuals who wish to remain at home to do so safely, supporting with activities like personal care, medication, and meal preparation.
All while ensuring that I have respected the individual’s dignity, personal preferences and choice.
Honeysuckle have supported me with my own confidence, enrolling me on my Level 3 in Health and Social Care. I am currently part of the way through this and can’t wait to continue building my skills and knowledge.
I am proud to be part of the Honeysuckle family, who continue to inspire me to make a difference to others in our community. Knowing that I can make a difference to others and make them smile, really is the best part of my job.
