Let us arrange the detail of your loved one's Funeral We have been in the funeral business for over 40 years and of late we have been watching the style of funerals chosen by families very closely and have identified the need for low cost funerals. We aim is to reduce funeral poverty by supplying a direct to the crematorium service for those that don’t want an elaborate funeral; and as our funeral home is situated at the entrance to Worcester Crematorium this makes ideal sense. There is always scope to add to the basic package; dependent upon your requirements and budget. We know that families are starting to think ahead and we work with pre-paid funeral plan providers to help you put plans in place for when the inevitable happens. We have our own In-house celebrant who will lead a Celebration of Life for your loved one. Many people are choosing to have a Crematorium service now and a Burial of Ashes later when they can have more people attend the service and the 'Wake' afterwards. We can provide a complete funeral from under one roof to save you having to travel around different places. When you are making arrangements for your loved one it pays to call around and talk to Funeral Directors and we hope that you will include us when you do so.

The 24hrs after your loved one passes is the lull before the storm. It is a chance for you to gather your thoughts and prepare yourself for the next stage of arranging the funeral talking to friends and relatives and letting them know what has happened. So if you need to take a deep breath and prepare yourself.

The morning after someone dies in your home.

The neighbor doesn’t know yet.

The light still comes through the window the same way it always has.

The dust floats. Birds sing their thing. Coffee brews out of habit.

But everything is different.

This is the quietest morning you’ll ever experience because it's not quite peaceful, just hushed.

It feels like the world lowered its voice out of respect.

You’re aware of every sound, every creak, every breath you take without them.

There’s often guilt here.

For sleeping.

For laughing at a memory.

For noticing how beautiful the light is when someone you love is gone.

If this was your morning, you didn’t do it wrong.

This liminal space between presence and absence is part of grief.

It’s sacred, even when it feels unbearable.

Nothing needs to be rushed today.

You’re allowed to stand at the window a little longer.

If you need a little cheering up from this snow and ice, try to remember that Spring is just around the corner although it might not feel like it at the moment., but, the days are getting longer and the snowdrops and daffodils are waiting to bloom.

Can you remember grandma or grandpa talking to you about funerals? How they showed respect when someone passed away? Did you ask them why the drew the curtains when the hearse came into the street for a neighbour?
It was their way of honouring their friend, family member or neighbour, and, while there are no Laws in the UK with regard to the funeral procession itself, there are certain rules which you should try and follow.
If you witness a hearse leading a funeral procession whilst on the road, be considerate and respectful.

Try to:
Give way to the hearse and funeral cars
Don’t cut into a funeral procession
Avoid listening to loud music
Don’t beep your horn
Only overtake a procession on a dual carriageway

If you encounter a funeral procession whilst on foot, try not to cross the road in front of the hearse or funeral cars. You may also choose to stop and bow your head as the funeral procession passes; this is often seen as a nice gesture and sign of respect.
Be mindful of others people's grief.

We know that the crossing into a New Year without your Loved One may be a little difficult for you, but,
as we always say, we're by your side every step of the way, and tonight , tomorrow and the next days we'll be thinking of you as you move forward in whatever way suits you.

Christmas is over and we’re ready to meet with a family around our table.
Our meeting room was recently likened to ‘being at home at the table’ and a comfortable place to talk about arrangements.
Should the occasion arise you are welcome at our table.

Seasons Greetings from us to you.

When we leave our building for a Funeral we always 'paige' from the building as a sign of respect for the deceased.
As we cross a busy road island it is becoming increasingly more worrying that few people want to slow down to let us do this. See todays car? it did not want to stop. Our deceased deserved the respect and we kept walking.
Todays destination was Wyre Forest Crematorium.
