This afternoon’s Pub Club was full of laughter, smiles, and good company! As part of our 25 Acts of Kindness for Children in Need, we shared jokes and joy to lift each other’s spirits. A little laughter really does go a long way! 💛

🎇 Bonfire Night Fun! 🎇 Wow — what a fantastic day we've had celebrating Bonfire Night! We started the morning with beautiful firework paintings, bursting with colour and creativity. Then came a sweet treat: chocolate apple slices that were a total hit! 🍫🍏 In the afternoon, we headed out to the garden to enjoy the sparkle and glow of sparklers ✨ And to finish off the day, we tucked into a delicious feast of pulled pork baps, hot dogs, and bonfire cupcakes — the perfect way to end a day full of fun and togetherness.

🍅 Residents Enterprise: Homemade Goodness for a Great Cause! 🌟

We love to celebrate the incredible skills, knowledge, and experiences of our residents. That’s why we’ve launched our very own Residents Enterprise — a monthly project where residents craft handmade items to raise donations for meaningful causes.

This week, we’ve been busy in the kitchen making homemade chutney using our very own home-grown tomatoes. It’s already been taste-tested by our professional chefs… and the verdict is in: absolutely delicious! 😋

In support of Children in Need, we're taking part in the '25 Acts of Kindness' challenge this month. Today, we kicked things off with a special delivery to a local doctors’ surgery — and they were absolutely thrilled! 💛

It’s amazing how a small gesture can make a big impact. Here's to spreading kindness, one act at a time!

We enjoyed a spooktacular Halloween party today! 👻
Our amazing catering team treated us to a delicious buffet, and this afternoon we were entertained by a talented magician who brought plenty of tricks and laughs. A big thank you to everyone who helped make the day so memorable! 🎃✨

Today was filled with joy, laughter, and a touch of spooky fun!

💍 We honored a very special milestone — a resident’s Dimond wedding anniversary. What a beautiful moment to cherish! ❤️

🎂 One of our amazing staff members marked their special birthday, and we made it extra sweet with cake and warm wishes all around! 🎉

🎃 To top it off, we dove into the Halloween spirit with some creative pumpkin carving. The designs were spooky, silly, and spectacular 🧙

As part of this year’s Children in Need theme, Challenge 25, we’re taking on 25 Acts of Kindness!
One of our acts will be a Food Bank Collection to help support those in need within our community.
All donations are greatly appreciated and should be handed in by Monday the 10th of November.
There is a collection box located in Reception for your contributions.

🎶 This week we spent time at the With You in Mind club which was a fantastic session of musical moments—dancing, singing, and sharing smiles all around.

🧘‍♀️ Midweek, we enjoyed a gentle exercise session that helped us stretch, breathe, and recharge—perfect for body and mind.

🎃 This morning, we were joined by the wonderful team from Debutots for spooky storytelling and fabulous costumes that brought the Halloween spirit to life.

🍬 And to top it all off, we’re wrapping up the day with some sweet treats! What a week!

Cultural Day – India 🇮🇳
This month, our Cultural Day celebrated the rich and colourful culture of India. The day began with seated Bollywood dancing, which brought lots of smiles and laughter as everyone moved to the rhythm of traditional and modern Indian music.
We also had a talk from AJ, who shared insights about Indian festivals, traditions, and everyday culture. He even taught us how to say "hello" in Hindi – "Namaste!"
At lunchtime, we enjoyed a delicious spread of Indian cuisine. The favourites were definitely the poppadoms, samosas, and flavourful curry – a real treat for the taste buds!
It was a joyful and educational experience that brought everyone together in celebration of Indian heritage.
