Over the Christmas period, our dispensary team will continue to work hard to ensure you receive your medication. To allow our staff time with their families and to complete essential administrative work, the dispensary will close slightly earlier on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Please see the opening hours for the practice and dispensary below.

If you do need an acute prescription after 4pm on Christmas Eve or New Years eve – don’t worry! Our GPs will still be able to help.

We are aware of media reports advising patients to order prescriptions early for Christmas. Please note this is only necessary if your medication is due on a bank holiday; otherwise, prescriptions can be ordered as normal up to 7 days in advance. Ordering early increases pressure on the dispensary team, so we kindly ask that you order as usual.

A gentle reminder that we require a minimum of three working days to process repeat prescription requests.
Medication that is issued by a Clinician that you see in practice on an acute basis will be dispensed same day following your appointment.
Thank you for your patience while the team manage repeat and acute requests. In November alone we dispensed over 12,000 items, so the team is very busy!

Thanks to your generosity, many of our visitors took the opportunity to learn more about Marie Curie and chose to support them – whether by setting up regular donations, expressing interest in volunteering, or joining one of our fundraising events.

The response was incredibly positive and encouraging.

Together, we raised a fantastic £156.24 which will provide 7 hours of nursing care for Marie Curie patients. This support makes a real difference in the lives of those we care for - Thank you!

Marie Curie is scheduled to return to the surgery tomorrow,
Wednesday, 26th November 2025, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

During this time, they will be available for discussions to provide further information about Marie Curie and to explore opportunities for supporting the charity, which may include regular donations, volunteering, or participating in one of their fundraising events.

Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. We are with you to the end.
