Hereford & Worcester Breast Screening

Hereford & Worcester Breast Screening We invite ladies across the 2 counties aged 50-70 years for a screening mammogram every 3 years.

Screening is offered to save lives from breast cancer as it can find breast cancers at an early stage when they are too small to see or feel.

Happy Halloween! Send this to a friend to remind them. 🎃🎃

Today also marks the end of Breast Cancer Awareness month, so this is a gentle reminder to take a minute today to check your breasts.

A lump in the breast is the most common symptom of breast cancer, but there are others to look for:

• thickening of the skin or tissue of the breast

• dimpling of the skin of the breast

• a lump or swelling in either armpit

• a change in the shape or size of the breast, such as swelling in all or part of the breast

• a ni**le turning in (inverted ni**le)

• an eczema-like rash on the ni**le

• discharge or bleeding from the ni**le

• pain or discomfort in the breast that does not go away – but this is rare.

We understand that showing any symptoms of what could be cancer is worrying. The most important thing is to speak to your GP as soon as possible

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 💗

Breast cancer screening saves lives! Here in Worcestershire, more people are getting checked, but there are still too many missing out. Early detection is key, as it allows cancer to be treated before it progresses.
