🍁It’s a great time to go foraging! Mother Nature offers us it’s gifts we need to support our immune systems in preparation for the changing seasons.
🌸Rosehip (Rosa canina, Rosa rugosa) is part of the Rosaceae family and is primarily native to Europe, although it can be found across nearly every continent. Since ancient times, it has been utilised to address urinary disorders.
🌤️Currently, rosehip is in season and can be easily found in hedgerows and along woodland edges.
💛Rosehip is exceptionally rich in Vitamin C, with approximately 624 mg per 100g, which is significantly more than that found in citrus fruits. Additionally, it is full of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.
🌱The seeds contain a high concentration of Vitamin E, which can be extracted and applied topically to benefit skin and hair.
