This morning didn’t quite begin as planned…

I sat down, ready for my usual first cup of coffee ☕️ — only to find the milk had turned. And honestly… it threw me off more than I expected 🤦🏻‍♀️

It got me thinking though — how important those little “non-negotiables” are in our day.

Do you have them?

For me, it’s that first cup of coffee… the one that somehow tastes better than every other, even though I make them all the same ☕️

Followed by a slow stretch to wake my body gently.

After that, it’s a shower, my skincare routine, supplements with a big glass of water… and then some quiet time — meditation, a little tai chi (which I’ve recently started and am loving), or a walk with Normy 🐾

For the past few months, I’ve been really honouring this time.

Time just for me ♥️

Time to arrive in the day gently, rather than rushing into it.

And I’ve noticed… when something disrupts it, I feel it.

But maybe that’s the lesson.

It’s not about everything being perfect — it’s about noticing what supports you, what grounds you, what brings you back to yourself… and choosing to return to it, even when things don’t go to plan.

(A little trip to the shop for fresh milk soon sorted things anyway 😄)

So this is your gentle reminder today —

✨️You are allowed to have non-negotiables.
✨️You are allowed to take up space in your own day.
✨️You are allowed to care for yourself first.
✨️Even in the smallest, simplest ways 🤍

May you find your rhythm today, and meet yourself there with kindness ✨
