On Monday and Tuesday we wished our wonderful residents Kathleen (Monday) and Nicola (Tuesday) a very happy birthday 🎈🎉🥳 they both had a great day and enjoyed getting their presents and also their lovely birthday cakes 🎁🎂

Remembrance Day, November 11, 2025
We shall remember them 🌺

Yesterday we started the day with a game of Military bingo, word searches and a war time quiz, in the afternoon we looked at some flash cards of war times which brought back lots of memories and discussions. Today we said a prayer for all those wonderful people and animals who served for our country 🙏 this was followed by 2 minutes silence, we shared lots of memories, and poems honoring the sacrifices of our heroes with heartfelt gratitude🌺 we then had a good sing along and dance to Vera Lynn songs and other war time songs. Our residents said they have really enjoyed the last few days and it has brought back many memories. ♥️💕

This week our wonderful residents have enjoyed pamper sessions 💅this day in history🧾 We had the lovely Sasha come to entertain us, and our residents thought she was wonderful💕🎤We wished our lovely Diane 5 years service, Diane was presented with a lovely bunch of flower💐Residents have also enjoyed remembrance day arts and crafts, games morning, dominos Tournament and the winner was Liz🏆 listening and singing to some war time songs which brought back lots of memories. We have had lots of fun with some tongue twisters and old wives tale 💕😃

🎃From all of us at Amathea we hope you had a safe and enjoyable Halloween 🎃

Our wonderful Residents have enjoyed plenty of spooky delights and Joyful fun🧙‍♀️👻 With lots of Halloween activities including games, pass the parcel, scary quizzes and word search. Residents enjoyed a lovely buffet lunch with Halloween cakes❤️We had the fabulous Miss Dee come to entertain us, and our residents thought she was great they all had a good sing along and dance to her Halloween songs 🎃💕they also enjoyed a game of scary bingo and the winners received prizes👻🎃 we had a spooky sing along and dance to songs like Thriller, Ghostbusters, Monster Mash and more🧹🧙‍♀️👻. Our residents have had a great time with lots of fun and laughter 💕😃

Congratulations to Joanna Scott who is the winner of our Halloween hamper👍Joanna guessed the exact weight of the pumpkin which was 4.5kg🎃👍. Thank you to all the people who took part, the money has gone to our Amenities activities fund for our wonderful residents😘💕

Staff at Amathea are taking part in a sea dip in aid of our wonderful residents Christmas funds, this will take place on Sunday 30 November at St Bees.

On Thursday we celebrate our lovely Cheryl's Baby Shower, Cheryl, staff and residents had a lovely time sharing this special day, with lots of games and lovely cakes 🎉👶our wonderful residents have also enjoyed a games morning🏓🎯 this day in history, home remedies reminiscing, knit and natter group with some lovely treats🧶🍬🥧 armchair Exercises, bingo, travel songs sing along and dance🎤🎶 the history of artist Grandma Mosses and some one to ones in residents rooms. Our residents have all had a great time as you can see from their happy smiling faces 😃❤️
