“Isn’t hypnobirthing just breathing?” 🤍

I hear this a lot… and yes, breathing is a beautiful part of it — but it’s so much more than that.

✨ It’s understanding how your body works in birth
✨ It’s reducing fear and building confidence
✨ It’s learning how to stay calm and grounded
✨ It’s knowing your options and making informed choices

Breathing is just one tool…
Hypnobirthing is about preparing your mind and body so you can step into birth feeling supported, informed, and empowered.

Because when you understand what’s happening, everything changes 🤍

It’s been a really full and lovely week so far 🤍

I’ve been busy offering reflexology to three beautiful sisters — one of them was my doula client last year, so it was so special to catch up and see her little one again. Moments like that really remind me why I love what I do ✨

Then last night, I had the pleasure of treating two amazing little souls… and the youngest, just 6 years old, lay beautifully for 50 minutes! 🤍
We often think children will struggle or fidget, but they so often prove us wrong when given the space and calm environment to just be.

Right now I’m soaking up a bit of sunshine while walking the dog before heading off to pick my middle one up from forest school 🌿☀️

These little pockets of calm in a busy week mean everything.

I hope you’re all getting a chance to enjoy the sunshine too 🤍

This photo was taken last year.
This is my eldest son and all was normal in the world.
Little did we know that in a month's time his world would become pain, test and operations.

Normally on his birthday I think back to his birth but this year I have been thinking not only about how he entered the world but how he got to stay in this world.

Without modern medicine he wouldn't be here, I'm all about herbs, homeopathy and all things o'natural 😄. However the medical industry does have its place... occasionally 😉

While being in the system unfortunately he wasn't immune to the things we see in the maternity side.
Lack of information, coercion, lack of explanation, lack of support. Just do this and all will be ok without any thought on the consequences.

It's difficult watching someone you love go through so much.

SO, this is to the birth partners🫂, it's so important you advocate for your partner, be her safe space, her emotional support, her mental support and above all trust her 💙. Do the work to know how Physiological Birth works, what obstacles will be thrown at you and how to navigate that. Its your job to protect her!

Please go to a hypnobirthing course (it doesn't have to be mine 😁) or if you feel you need support to do all that, hire a doula (again it doesn't have to be me 😉)
Give you and your partner the best chance at navigating the system.

Much Love
Kelly 💖

“I think people who have home births are so brave…”

And I gently replied…
“I think people who birth in hospital are brave too.” 🤍

Because bravery isn’t about where you give birth —
it’s about stepping into an experience that asks so much of you, wherever that may be.

But what I will say is this…
Many women aren’t always given the full picture.

Statistics show that in a hospital setting there is a higher likelihood of intervention — including induction, assisted birth, caesarean, tearing, episiotomy, and postpartum haemorrhage.

That doesn’t mean hospital birth is wrong.
It doesn’t mean home birth is right.

It means you deserve to be informed.
You deserve to understand your options.
You deserve to make the choice that feels right for you.

Because birth isn’t about proving bravery…
It’s about feeling safe, supported, and empowered in your experience 🤍

Why does everything suddenly feel overwhelming around 35 weeks? 🤍

✨ More appointments
✨ More opinions
✨ More pressure
✨ More fear-based conversations

And suddenly… you’re questioning everything.

It’s not you — it’s the noise getting louder.

But please hear this…
it is not too late to get support.

Even at this stage, we can do so much together 🤍

I offer hypnobirthing and doula packages designed specifically to support you in those final weeks — helping you feel calm, informed, and confident again.

You don’t have to navigate this part alone.
This is where support really matters 🤍

Message me if this is where you are right now 💛

It’s been a few quiet days on here… but behind the scenes it’s been full 🤍

I’ve been busy working with some lovely clients, holding space, supporting, and doing what I love most ✨

I’m also so close to finishing the first section of my INSTINCT workbook (eeek!) — pouring so much time, thought, and love into creating something that will really support you through pregnancy and birth 🌿

And in between all of that… I’ve been soaking up time with my children, slowing down, being present, and enjoying those little everyday moments that mean the most 🤍

It’s reminded me how important it is to find that balance — between giving to others and nurturing yourself and your family too.

I’ll be sharing more of the workbook soon… I can’t wait for you to see it ✨

For now, I’d love to know —
What have you been up to over the last few days? 🤍

Yesterday really humbled me…

I had the worst headache I’ve ever experienced. The kind where even standing up or walking to the toilet felt unbearable. The pain was intense, overwhelming, and honestly quite scary.

The remnants are still there today, but nowhere near what it was 🤍

In those moments, when it felt like too much, I found myself going straight back to my breath…
Using the calm/up breathing I teach — in for 4, out slowly — just focusing on softening my body and riding through each wave of discomfort until the pain relief kicked in.

And it really reminded me…
These tools aren’t just for birth. They’re for life.

I’m so grateful I had something to come back to, something that helped me stay calm instead of spiralling with the intensity of it all.

I’ve never felt anything quite like it before. I don’t usually struggle with headaches, but when they do come, they really take me off my feet. The last time I experienced something similar, it was hormone-related, so who knows…

But what I do know is this —
When your body feels out of control, having tools to ground yourself makes all the difference 🤍

This is my happy place 🌿

The sound of flowing water…
The rhythm… the calm… the stillness it brings.

When life feels busy, overwhelming, or noisy, having a place — real or imagined — that brings you back to yourself is so powerful.

In pregnancy and birth, this becomes even more important.
Your breath, your focus, your environment… they all help guide your body back to calm.

Try this with me:
Breathe in for 4…
And out for 7…

Let your shoulders soften…
Let your body slow down…

Where is your happy place? 🤍

Well today in session 2 of my hypnobirthing course we look at how the muscles in the uterus work.

Did we all blow up balloons and shoot balls at each other... yes we did 😁

Information made fun!

My son is perfectly demonstrating just how the muscles work, how they draw up, thin out and open the cervix. How the muscles are pushing down from the top. Essentially showing how we don't need to push, our bodies will do it for us (well when nothing gets in the way) its why women give birth in commas.

Our bodies are amazing and are designed to birth 💖
