What would you actually do if a coworker had a stroke right in front of you? It's an uncomfortable question, but one worth asking.

Here's the reality: strokes happen suddenly, and every minute matters. Brain cells die rapidly without blood flow. But if you know basic first aid, you can make the difference between someone recovering fully or facing permanent disability.

If someone shows stroke symptoms (sudden face drooping, arm weakness, slurred speech), here's what to do:

💡 Call emergency services immediately - don't wait to see if symptoms improve
💡 Note the time symptoms started (critical for treatment decisions)
💡 Keep them calm and lying down with their head slightly elevated
💡 Don't give them food, water, or medication
💡 Stay with them until help arrives

Basic first aid training isn't just for emergencies like strokes. It gives you the skills to handle choking, severe bleeding, cardiac arrest, allergic reactions, and more. It transforms you from a bystander into someone who can actually help when seconds count.
