After the recent government announcement around care home visits, we are pleased to let you know that we have been putting measures in place to enable safe visiting again at Jubilee.
Window visits (for ground floor residents) and garden visits will continue to take place as before.
We are now able to allow visits to ‘fast-tracked’ and ‘end-of-life’ residents, however, in order to reduce the risk of infection into the care home, the following precautions will be taken in line with government policy:
Fast-tracked residents will be allowed one 30-minute visit per day from a single constant visitor. This, for example, means the same family member visiting each time to limit the number of different individuals coming into contact. This is to reduce the overall numbers of people into the care home and the subsequent risk of infection.
End-of-life residents who are in their last hours/days will be allowed up to two members of close family to visit with no time limit.
All visitors entering the care home will be required to complete a screening questionnaire and have their temperature taken. Anyone with symptoms of Covid-19 will be refused entry.
Thank you for your understanding and co-operation throughout these difficult times. Although we are keen to get visiting back to normal for the positive benefit of our residents and their families, we have to ensure the safety of everyone within the home. We feel that these new measures can allow safe visiting while complying with government policy.

Keeping Community Alive

Thanks to a technologically advanced society and easy access to digital sources of communication, social media is becoming an increasingly effective, wide-ranging tool for keeping communities connected. However, with this resource comes great responsibility. At Jubilee Court we aim to keep our community connected with family and friends through Facebook in a dignified manner. As family and friends we cannot always be with our loved ones, work and other family commitments can pose time constraints. Working as care providers we experience day to day life with our residents and hope to share some of these precious moments, fun and happiness with family and friends through our page. We will also keep you up to date with upcoming events.
