Meet Henry & Harry, a pair of 10-month-old twin Hoglets🦔

We had a lovely visit from this pair, and our residents could not wait to meet them. We learnt all about hedgehogs and had a great question-and-answer session. Did you know baby hedgehogs are called hoglets? 😀

It was such a pleasure meeting these adorable brothers, thank you to Graham from St Francis Animal Care for our brilliant morning at Tarring Manor 🤎

Happy National Walking Day 😁Today encourages everyone to get outdoors and incorporate walking into their daily routine. The initiative, which is used to promote the importance of physical activity, has been in full swing today at Tarring. We loved getting outdoors in the fresh air to admire the spring blossoms🌸

Our trip down Memory Lane was a big hit this week 🤩 Residents brought along photos and albums to share, and we had a brilliant discussion of our favourite memories, talents and careers. Our First Floor explored music of the decades and made their own memory lane posters with favourite songs and singers. Complete with old sweets and drinks to taste like dandelion and burdock, we had a wonderful time reminiscing together 💕

Our Easter Egg Hunt 2026

What a fantastic morning🤩Our residents and staff had a brilliant time seeing all the children, Peter Rabbit and hearing all the laughter. Congratulations to our 3 resident winners of the Easter Bonnet Competition. We had some wonderful compliments, and it was great to see our local community.

On Friday afternoon, our residents had a lovely sing-along with Tarring Village Band and High Street Harmony. We sang classics such as Skye Boat Song, Westering Home & Cockles and Mussels 🎼

Our residents have been busy this week creating some wonderful Easter bonnets, ready for our Easter Egg Hunt event on Saturday 🐥 We cannot wait to see everyone's creations and look forward to our Easter Bonnet Competition 💛

We teamed up with Friends of Tarring Park this morning for The March Tarring Park Spruce Up. We cleaned benches, picked up litter and had a great chat with the locals. This was a great success, our residents loved to be a part of this community event💚

We had a fantastic Dementia Awareness Workshop at Tarring Manor last night, led by our in‑house expert, Christine Elsley. It was wonderful to welcome local care professionals, families, and members of our community into the home for an engaging and insightful session.
The workshop offered an interactive look at what it can feel like to live with dementia, helping us all build a deeper understanding of the challenges people may face and how we can better support them.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and to Christine Elsley for delivering such an informative and thought‑provoking session. Together, we’re building a more dementia‑aware community.
