🎄✨ A Festive Celebration at Tarring Manor ✨🎄

Today we had the privilege of hosting a very special Blind Veterans Christmas Lunch at our care home. The room was filled with laughter, friendship, and the comforting aroma of a traditional holiday feast.

🍽️ Guests enjoyed a delicious spread of roast turkey and lamb, followed by the ultimate festive treat — Christmas pudding! 🎶 Conversation and community spirit made the afternoon truly magical.

We are honoured to celebrate the season with our Blind Veterans, whose courage and service inspire us all. ❤️

This summer, Tarring Manor proudly achieved Veteran Friendly Care Home status and we continue to honour that commitment every day.

For us, it’s about recognising the lives, stories and service behind every veteran who calls Tarring Manor home. We record Armed Forces history within care plans, support emotional wellbeing, help residents connect with local veteran groups and signpost families to specialist support services.

If you or a loved one has served and is looking for a warm, understanding place to call home, we’d love to welcome you for a tour and a friendly chat.

🧶 Community Knitting for Cosy Park Walks – Wool Donations Welcome! 🧶

Our lovely residents have been busy knitting colourful blankets to keep warm during our park walks – and they’re turning out beautifully! 🌈✨

Knitting together has brought so much joy, laughter, and friendship, but we’re running low on wool. If you have any spare balls of yarn (any colour, any type!) tucked away in a cupboard, we’d be so grateful for your donation.

Every stitch is made with love, and your wool will help keep our residents cosy while enjoying the fresh air.

Thank you for helping us wrap our community in warmth – one blanket at a time. 💛

We’re spreading some Christmas cheer this December at Caring Homes! On Wednesday 3 December, friends, family and our local community are warmly invited to join us for a very special Festive Afternoon Tea at 3. 💜☕

Our much-loved tea trolley will be getting a seasonal makeover, filled with delicious homemade treats for everyone to enjoy, including:

🍰 Eggnog cupcakes
🍪 Gingerbread cookies (perfect for decorating!)
🍫 Chocolate yule log
🍒 Traditional Christmas cake
🥧 Mince pies galore

Earlier this week, our amazing carers wrapped up our residents in their cosiest hats and scarves for gentle strolls in the park. The fresh air, the crunch of leaves, and the smiles shared along the way make these moments truly special.

It’s more than just a walk — it’s laughter, conversation, and the joy of feeling connected to the world outside. 🌿✨
