This is one of the reasons why I wanted to become an Ear Care Practitioner. Hearing loss is so isolating and affects many peoples lives, the impact it can have on those living alone and unable to interact with their carers is something that I find difficult to accept as being ‘ok’!
Those wearing hearing aids are more prone to wax build up as it is unable to naturally exit the ear canal and once the wax builds up, the hearing is affected and it can be uncomfortable to wear hearing aids.
