Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas from us all at Melrose.

We managed to capture some of our team in a photo at the change over of shifts as others were busy. We so appreciate our teams that work on days like today👏.

Our residents have had a great day. The Team looked after everyone super well.
Thank you all.

The food was amazing Thank You Chris.
The sherry trifle was a favourite.

It was lovely to see many families and friends join is for a drink.

We were thrilled to see two nominated teams to compete together to make a Gringer Bread House.

A firm family favourite game for many of us at home.

The competition was hard and both teams proved to show equal creativity and skill.

Well done all. It looked great fun.

There was an Elf about Melrose yesterday facilitating a very competitive few games of Bingo.

Julie has handed on the reigns to Tracey since her retirement and Tracey and Nicola joined forces to give a fun afternoon.

There were prizes to be won and everyone was a winner.

Then everyone enjoyed a buffet together.

Such a lovely afternoon shared by all.

We were so thrilled that those residents that were unable to come to the communal areas were able to spend some time with their families in their rooms.

A wonderful afternoon was had by all.

Thank you again to the Care Team for helping the residents to be in the right place at the right time!

Today we enjoyed our Christmas Party at Melrose.

We invited all our family and friends.

We started preparing the space from 9am under the direction on many of the residents.

We had around 45 guests. A wonderful quiz prepared by one of our residents. Great food provided by our amazing Keith and his team.

The music was also just right.

It was wonderful to have the Children from Broadwater School in to sing to us earlier this week.

They taught us some sign language to one of the Carols which was great fun.

It was good to hear that that enjoyed it too and were talking about it for the rest of the day.

Our residents at Melrose have been busy over the last week planning and organising where all the decorations will be placed at Melrose.
Our residents tell us that Melrose is just like home and it’s having opprtunity to make decisions and choices about the things that happen at the home is key.

They were keen also that every resident had a bit of Christmas in their room and they were active preparing a small tree for each bedroom.

Plans are also well underway for our Christmas Party on Saturday. We can’t wait….

We were delighted yesterday to welcome some furry friends.

It was absolutely wonderful and created a buzz all around the home.

It was lovely that they got to go into the bedrooms where so of our residents were in bed.
