Saw this quote on Etsy (not sure who owns/wrote it etc.) but I really liked it because it’s simple but does some up who massage is suitable for - EVERY body.

A lot of people still think that in order to need a then you need to play or take part in sports, which isn’t the case.
Our bodies and, particularly, our muscles do a lot of work - even in largely sedentary individuals - to carry out our daily activities or movement requirements. Moving from place to place, doing housework, walking to work, our jobs, looking after our kids or elderly relatives - are all activities which require movement and usage of the muscular system. The vast majority of us have a dominant side - a side which we use more than the other or a preferred side for lifting heavier objects etc. this, combined with our daily postures will eventually lead to muscle imbalances and could then lead to injuries.

Ever woken up with a stiff neck/shoulder on one side and thought “I must have slept funny, can’t think what else would have caused it 🤷‍♂️” well, that’s a sign of a potential imbalance and could be a more serious injury waiting to happen. Massage can help!

Ever had days where you just feel a bit stressed or easily agitated but can’t think of a reason why you’re so irritable? This could be a build up of stress caused by multiple factors - psychological stresses/worries, physical stresses, emotional stresses - all building up bit by bit, day by day without you knowing it or even being aware it’s happening. Massage can help!

Ever felt a niggling pain or discomfort that doesn’t seem to have a specific cause but doesn’t seem to go away? Knee pain, back pain, aching neck? Massage can help!

There are SO many things that a massage can help to remedy but, do you want to know a secret? is at it’s most effective when it’s used as a preventative measure - before you feel these symptoms!
I usually recommend the following frequency for massages:

Highly active: 1-2 weeks
Moderately active: 2-4 weeks
Sedentary (office workers, no regular exercise): 4-8 weeks

So make your well-being your priority for 2022!

Hey Guys!

My apologies for the lack of communication since my last post. This year has been a very difficult one for me with regards to both my career and personal life. However, it gives me great pleasure to announce that I have found an awesome site in Steyning where I will be renting some clinic space every Tuesday (start date is yet to be confirmed).

So, may I please ask those of you who follow my page here to please like this post if you would be willing and able to travel to Steyning for treatment sessions with me. Once I have a start date confirmed, I will contact directly those of you who have liked this post to get you booked in the diary!

Once again can I stress that you only like this post if you wish to be contacted about future treatment sessions.

Ladies and gents, as I’m sure you know there has been a lot going on recently. I have officially closed the doors to Bodyfix Massage Therapies - hopefully, for the short term! However, being only 3 months into ownership of this business it was already a tough transitional time for me financially. I will do my best to get back up and running once this is all over and will keep you all posted either way.

As hard as these changes are to abide by I, personally, fully support and appreciate the measures being put in place by the government to help control this situation and I encourage you all to please listen to the advice being given so that we can all make it through this as quickly and as safely as possible.

Tough times for us all ahead but we can all make it through this. 👊🏻

Stay safe, stay strong and I hope to see you all in the clinic when this is done! 🥺 ✌🏻 🤞🏻

Hey guys,

Jut wanted to get an update out to you all with regards to the current Coronavirus situation. I, along with the rest of the team at The Physio Suite, will not be closing our doors until we are told to. We will continue to operate as normal with heightened focus around cleaning and hygiene. Antibacterial wipes and hand sanitiser have been provided for clients to use before and after visits and clients are openly welcomed and encouraged to use the hand washing facilities. Towels are clean and fresh for each client and are washed before re-use. Face cushion covers are also discarded after use.

Whilst there is a need to reduce unnecessary social interaction, I also feel that, where possible, it is important for the economy to maintain as much of a normal routine as possible, to support local businesses as well as the sole traders/self employed out there. That being said, if you are due in for treatment and feel that you are in any way unwell, or have recently been to, or had interaction with anyone who has been to, one of the more widely affected countries then please get in touch to rearrange your appointment.

I started out as a Personal Trainer with a keen interest in human movement. Participating in a RockTape movement & mobility course opened my eyes to the wider world of movement and mobility and, ultimately, changed the course of my career. I realised that there is a lot more to efficient human movement and how to optimise it than I had been previously been taught. It was at this stage in my career that I decided I wanted to advance my knowledge in therapy and treatments to allow me to be able to help people not only be pain-free but, to also have the knowledge to help people remain pain-free. I then studied with the LSSM (London School of Sports Massage) for my BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy, which has given me the knowledge and skills to help people move more efficiently and to enjoy the activities they love with a much reduced risk of injury or pain. With every stage my career advances, my passion for what I do grows exponentially as does my hunger for more knowledge.
