This might be a bit controversial, but I am not getting involved with Black Friday offers …
Here is why.
This yearly consumer holiday day as gone from a day event to a stretched-out event, seeing people already marketing their offers and discounts from the beginning of November. We have all witnessed the madness in humanity when the shops opened, people queuing, people getting into fights with each other over that discounted TV or games console. We seem to be losing the connection and compassion for one another, we are all humans trying our damn best to live in this crazy world as technology, social media continue to evolve.
I have been torn between getting involved in this event, do I follow everyone else, will I loose out on clients because they will choose to go to someone else for their discounted treatments – this comes from a lack of abundance, a lack of trust in oneself, a lack of security.
Sitting on this, none of this aligns with who I am as a person, the feeling it gives me feels icky, it feels like desperation to get some income coming in, it feels like if I do it, I’ll be coming from a place of unease. Actually, what I want to call in is peace, community, compassion, abundance, energy to give to others, to call in aligned humans, to give my authentic energy to every client that comes into my world.
So, no I will not be part taking in Black Friday and I stand in my power, not following the crowd, rather following the truth in my heart and soul.
I also know that I offer beautiful, aligned offers and discounts through out the year, and providing a special monthly treatment offer – this feels aligned, this feels compassionate, to be able to offer something all year round.
I guess if this has trigged something in yourself, maybe we are not aligned with one another, and I respect your opinions and know its ok to have different opinions.
To my fellow therapist, this isn’t a dig. If Black Friday feels like the right thing for you to do, do it. There is no hard feelings here, just love, compassion and the freedom to listen to your own feelings and thoughts, and act upon them if it’s coming from a place of love.
As always, said with love, Emma 🌹
