For all those following little Joshua story, I feel the need to update you. You have all been so lovely, allowing me to rant at every obstacle known to man we have faced in the last few weeks.

We went to view oratory school and it all looked amazing until Joshua’s nurse at John Radcliffe told the school that it’s not a suitable environment due to the “fields and forest” as he has allergies to grass, dust and mould. So he got denied a place.

Fast forward a few weeks, the La decided to update Joshua EHCP to say “as of autumn term parents have agreed to Elective Home educate” No we haven’t agreed anything of the sought! I asked for this to be removed and they said I would have to appeal and go to tribunal.

Today, I received an email stating that a tribunal hearing has been arranged for 08/12/2026!! Ridiculous thing is, no funding has been provided, no alternative provision has been provided. Unfortunately, I have had to pay privately for an online school, otherwise he will be so far behind, this will not be refunded or reimbursed by LA.
